Hey, just need some help w/ FIFA 2000...i'm running a Pentium III with 500 mhz and 64 kb RAM, with Windows 98 OS...

Basically the problem is whenever i try to start up FIFA 2000, all i get is this blank screen ot of which i can't exit or anything, an i have to restart the computer. I figured it would be DirectX or video card problem, so i have the latest DirectX version (8) and the thing is it used to run just fine before on the same video card drivers etc. so i figure that it can't be a video card problem...

Any help would be much appreciated...

1 thing i've learnt is Fifa200 / Fifa2001 are very fussy about everything. Worked fine on my P4 WinXp one day, wouldn't start the next.

Anyway, try updating to my latest 3d drivers for Fifa2000. Read about them and download the latest version from

They sometimes help with this problem.
Then try adjusting different video settings from 3D Setup. Maybe you can trick it into working.

Does it work in software mode?

Just got a question. What video card are you using? I upgraded one systems nVidia drivers to Detonator 40 and the game will no longer run. Very strange.
