The current refereeing of football is quite simply attrocious. The assistant in the S. Melbourne v Man Utd game got just about every offside wrong. The referees at the u17 championship were crap as where the refs at WC98.
England undoubtedly has the worst refs in the world along with Italy!

I finally agree with u crystalpalace...
as a melbournite. i like souths, (man united are my first team) i wanted to see souths at least score. but because of that hopeless linesman every time souths were about to make a break into the box. he called an offside.

And England is what great? There was great comedy in FA cups this past week, in case some haven't heard, including:
1. another dive by Barnby for a penalty,

2. a saved shot that was called a goal vs. Sernicek,

3. and how about the topper: the refs somehow lost the track of players so Tranmere finished their game with 11 players on the pitch even though they had a man send-off with a red card earlier in the game.
