Finally some good CL action.......... yet I have NOT been won over till the get some good performances in the next phase! (Now renamed "When Juventus exit stage". Del Piero, in best ever form! Too good! As if Newcastle were ever going to stop him, IceBlu 02-10-2002, 05:08:PM Del Piero is God. WHAT a Freekick !! he is absolutely Brilliant.....i've never seen him play better....! I just hope Di Vaio is fine :( he fell unconscious after a clash of heads with someone .... Juve are all but thru to the next stage.........WOOHOO :jambo: :jambo: :jambo: :jambo: ShearerM4 02-10-2002, 10:07:PM ... ... ... ... ... I don't mind losing when it's fair and square (like vs Kiev and Feyenoord) But I hate being cheated on ... especially by italians... Del Piero's dive fooled the ref .... and Shearer's goal should have stood ... the ref has actually admitted to it. ... ... ... ... gutted :f***: :kader: Parra Power 02-10-2002, 10:52:PM Vieri and Totti are gonna have to work hard to regain their national team starting spots with Inzaghi and Del Piero on fire!!! This year is the return of Italian teams (except Inter :crazyboy: ) Deutschland 02-10-2002, 11:48:PM INTER WILL SUCCEED IN ALL COMPETITIONS!! AS WILL BAYERN AND LIVERPOOL! EVERY ****in thread that has to do with Italy or Italian teams...u have to show ur ugly mug and say that theere was cheating and Italians are divers. And how come u come here and say that Shearers goal should have stood ?? if his goal should stand so should all those goals 'disallowed' goals at the world Cup for Italy.....how come u never said anything about that ??? oh thats right ......ur a biased sob. it doesn't bother me that ur supporting ur team...everyone does....what pisses me off is ur attitude. and i hate it. Please do us all a favor and STFU. Paul 03-10-2002, 12:03:AM Originally posted by ShearerM4 ... ... ... ... ... Del Piero is back to his outstanding best and I wouldn't be surprised to see either Juve or Milan pick up the trophy this year. I'm glad that Italian football is improving after having a few dismal years in European Competitions, let's be honest Roma didn't look all that good. Del Piero's free kick yesterday was sublime. Edit: Where's the monkey head in my sig? Where did you get Wacko doing Smooth Criminal? :D Paul 03-10-2002, 12:13:AM Originally posted by monkee Del Piero's free kick yesterday was sublime. Edit: Where's the monkey head in my sig? Where did you get Wacko doing Smooth Criminal? :D the free kick was awsome :) lucky bastard :D that smiley is ice after the juve - nufc game i'd say :rockman: and yes, we can all feel Yash's heat :p Digitarius 03-10-2002, 12:37:AM Juventus were certainly the better side but there is no doubt that Del Piero dived to gain the free kick that led to the first goal. There was minimal contact and the Italian dived down as if he had been hit by a homing missile. The Shearer goal should also have stood considering that Dyer wasn't in an active position at all. The linesman didn't raise his flag until Shearer headed the ball which meant that he thought Shearer was offside, when he was about 4 yards on at least. WOLF88 03-10-2002, 12:42:AM Still too early to count our chickens before they hatch... Italian football has lost it's mentality to go all the way, and that will be the real test... Although I will admit, after these CL games, and the last lot of serie A games have also proven that Italian Football has changed it's style, playing more in attack and making good use of individual talent... Del Piero was always good, but after his year off from injures Ancelotti ****ed him up... Always tried to restrict his playing style and wanted to turn him into a OH alla Zidane... Del Piero is like Maradona, he needs freedom in front of the goal to express his style... At least now with Lippi back his doing that... I hope that Juve this year will bring back the cup... Italy needs it... WOLF88 03-10-2002, 12:45:AM On the diving part, when you're in fast movement and then a minimal obstacle gets in your way, it will change your path very quickly... IceBlu 03-10-2002, 12:46:AM totally agree with ya Wolf......and ur spot on about the fact that DP needs freedom to express himself. He played great last season and hes having a stormer again . INFESTA 03-10-2002, 12:49:AM Originally posted by Parra Power Vieri and Totti are gonna have to work hard to regain their national team starting spots with Inzaghi and Del Piero on fire!!! Totti is in great form too. Did you see his hat-trick last weekend? Great stuff from him. I'm glad to see Italian teams charging on the attacking end for a change. They finally realized that there's a best chance of winning when they do so. WOLF88 03-10-2002, 01:22:AM Totti is a great player... But I feel he should stay in Midfield and bring the ball forward... In attack he sometimes get lost... My forward line will still be Del Piero and Vieri, with Brighi and Totti behind them... I still don't understand why Italy since it's 82 success has been playing defensive... We produce some of the world's best forwards and all round players... If they were given more freedom, the Vier, Del Piero and Totti Tandam could give the Brazilian tamdam the same amount of goals... The only real successful defence Team in my opinion has been the Milan of Capello's first era... But since 82 the Italiam club trophies have come from attacking sides like, Van Basten Milan, Platini and Vialli's Juve and etc... Like Lazio, 3 years ago they were meant to be the team of a new era... Fast and attacking... Sold it's offensive front line men, decided to go defensive, and where are they now... ??? Lets hope Italian football has learnt it's lesson and will carry on to attack... windtalker 03-10-2002, 01:48:AM Nice stuff ! now the Italian clubs are on fire in the CL! :) well except Roma. :( Alex's freekick was great. Ubik Valis 03-10-2002, 01:59:AM :drevil: What a shame that Screwcastle lost :drevil: :crazyboy: Forza Juve! :rockman: :mrpimp: WOLF88 03-10-2002, 02:11:AM If Capello would wake up and let Cassano play more games with Montella up front, Roma will be a force...Just hope not against Juve... ;) ShearerM4 03-10-2002, 04:17:AM Originally posted by IceBlu its always about Anti-Italian stuff and diving when ur around isn't it ??? well you have to admit that it's weird it goes on a lot more over there than in any other country ... why's that Originally posted by IceBlu And how come u come here and say that Shearers goal should have stood ?? if his goal should stand so should all those goals 'disallowed' goals at the world Cup for Italy.....how come u never said anything about that ??? ... coz I don't give a damn ... IceBlu 03-10-2002, 04:31:AM its even worse than what i make it sound. U are biased.....all ur opinions are ....and its not just me that thinks this.....ur comments about Germans and Italians piss a lot of people off. look what even ur co-Newcastle supporter Grassy thinks about it. and u say that u don't take time off to talk about things u dont care about...well u care enough to talk bullcrap dont u ? I have not been talking crap to anyone lately but i cannot stand the nonsense u come up with. EVERY ****IN TIME ! the moment its an Italian victory i see ur ****ed up comments. Scott.......Terrance.......Phillip.....Rings a bell ??? ok heres a clue....think of me as Scott. WOLF88 03-10-2002, 04:35:AM I follow English, Spanish and Italian leagues... It happens every where... The only differance is that the Italian media likes to make a story out of it... Because the Italian public and media is pushing for a third ref with a TV alla cricket... Which makes sense in todays fast paced game... Newcastle were'nt cheated, the played S*** and deserved to loose... Now chill and stop being a racists against Italians, get your facts right before talking... Because if Italy are professionals at what you're saying, then why don't we win Cup finals ... ??? :rockman: ShearerM4 03-10-2002, 04:46:AM oh well ... we might not be the best ... but we're the only team in black and white http://eur.news1.yimg.com/eur.yimg.com/xp/empics/20021002/2097918030.jpg IceBlu 03-10-2002, 05:39:AM Marco Di Vaio has been cleared by the doctors after that nasty clash of heads he had.He was kept under observation for the night at the hospital. He will play in this weekends SerieA game. We were good, rather Del Piero was fantastic. Midfield and Defence were always in control. Haha, what was Newcastle going to do against Juve's defence. HAHAHA! :D :D djperthglory 03-10-2002, 07:10:PM what the **** were juve doin in their away strip. what cant fkn old shearers nufc get an away shirt. those poor bastards. FORZA JUVE and introducing the new DEL PIERO. maybe we couldve won something if our captain played like this in the ucl last season. THE BATTLE OF THE BLACK AND WHITES: JUVENTUS 1 NEWCASTLE 0 lets make it 2 in three weeks juve. Internazionale 03-10-2002, 08:45:PM I must admit Del Piero is on fire. His free kick is totally brilliant. He manages to score in every game. While Inter are still in big trouble in CL :( , I still hope there's a chance for Inter to qualify to 2nd round.
