Hi!
I'm completely changing the USA league to
teams from the 1974 W.C. using FEd99.
The problem is that the commentators still
say the names of the american teams, i.e.
New York, Toronto etc. Is there any way to
either copy the files from the national teams
so the commentators say for example Germany
instead of New York, or can you delete the files?
If you know how to do it, what are the names
of the files I should copy/delete?
Sure... after you've completely finished your editing using FEd99, use the in game editor to change the team names and the commentator will stop calling them by the old names. If the names are too long to completely change with the in game editor, use ME99 to change those.
This will allow you to stop having the wrong names called. There is no easy way to have them say the correct names. If you copy/paste the original Germany team, for example, to this league, they will say Germany, but any changes you make to one team will also affect the other.

Hi!
If you don't like the CUSPLYR.DB and CUSTOM.DB in you FIFA99\USER folder try this
Open FEd99 and go to TRANSFERS page then
select one team to the left side of the page and select a laegue to the right side of the page then press the button twice.
Now you should have the team in its original league and 2 same teams in the other league.
Here is the catch in the original team the player commentary should be shown in the commentary box of FEd99 but in the 2 new teams shouldn't be having any commentary at all no team or player commentary.
There just might be a few players wich have commentary but you can either delete them or overrite them.
I have made a lots of new teams to FIFA99 with that little trick example Mexican league and English 1.st Division teams.
Allthough you cannot create leagues only teams and there is a maximum of 50 teams in the same league and you must make the league you play as a CUSTOM LEAGUE because fifa doesn't regognize that much teams in the original leagues.
