View Full Version : the wing defenders dont help offense? valioso 08-10-2002, 09:10:AM I read in some topic that someone complain about why the wingers dont help in the offense.. well.. here's proof they do if you send them in the run.,.. tomthegod 08-10-2002, 09:23:AM I scored goal with Roberto Carlos (not from free kick) and I didn't have to send him forward. The problem is, when you take the ball for example with Figo and run forward, Ashley Cole is waiting for you deep inside Arsenal's half...that's not realistic, he should be more in front, waiting at the half. No more broken offside traps!!! valioso 08-10-2002, 09:35:AM i have also been caught offside... it depends a lot on how much play you build.. if you move forward.. and pass back and forth and stuff like that, you can get the defender out of position.. tomthegod 08-10-2002, 09:43:AM Yes, you can, but I'd like to see LB/RB standing at the half waiting for opponents attack or for nice pass, fast run forward, precise cross and great header in(by attacker, of course). But I still hope there will be opportunity(?) to change tactic to "offensive wingers" in the full version. Mauro DeLa Vega 08-10-2002, 10:47:AM I've played a lot of matches with Real Madrid (I believe the Michel Salgado screenshot is mine :) ) The Wing backs definately help the offense, you can make 1-2's with the wingers with them (Salgado-Figo and Roberto Carlos-Solari). Pass the bal with Salgado (or R. Carlos) to Figo (or Solari) when he is on the midfield, stop with Figo and walk a bit towards the center of the pitch, then press Q, to call for a run, and usually Salgado then runs forward for you to pass to him. And If your winger is stuck in corner of the opponents half, the wingback will come forward to assist. I think that is really good stuff. I don't know the tactic Real Madrid plays in the game but it looks very attacking. valioso 08-10-2002, 12:09:PM I think Madrid plays with a 4-1-3-2 at least thats what it seems when passing the ball around.. That screenshot is mine..hehe..so if you had the same one sorry bout that but I see everyone complaining about lb/rb not helping.. and most of the time I get the ball back at the midfield line with Salgado or Carlos.. I don't think EA will have a 4-1-3-2 tactic in the game but I think it's 4-4-2 with the midfield on Diamond-shape like this: -------Zidane------- Solari----------Figo ------Makelele----- As for the screenshot, you're right but I have posted an almost identical screenshot at a thread a while ago. here (http://www.soccergaming.tv/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47804) at the bottom of the thread. :) tomthegod 08-10-2002, 07:49:PM Maybe in Real, but I don't think things like this should happen...Raul is now passing ball to Ronaldo who will score. Can anyone tell me what Lauren and Cole are doing so deep?(except breaking the offside trap) |
