I only hardly win in Pro, now try World Class

what i find out in Pro and world class is that CPU "seems to be" cheating

they always can create V. V. V. accurate long through pass, no matter my man is along the passing pathway and want to stop it. Another thing is they are superb in cutting all the balls i am passing, no matter how close i am with the other player

I play quite well in PES series, using the same technique in Fifa 2003 totally useless i think, as the gameplay is still v..... ...

my best results are 1:1 (Pro) vs Real Madrid and 3:3 (Pro) vs Arsenal...

goalkeeper isn't good, he very often makes mistakes at the output... that is why I missed some goals...

Man,

I think that even in the most difficult levels thing should be realistic. There is no football match where the stronger team intercepts all the passes and passes with 100% efficiency. They should explore other features in order to get things harder not changing your probabilities to 0 and CUP's to 100 in every event of the simulation.

And this frustration feeling is not healthy for EA if they're looking for new customers. :kader: :kader: :kader:

Also, I have a strange feeling that the player does not go and does not pass to the direction I'm pressing on. Some people told me that you have to release the key in order to get the pass but it didn't work for me. Sometimes I feel like the players are skating on ice, man! :crazyboy: Is there any problem with my gfx card or what?

At last, I think that this game should provide some fun to people that likes football and not for pressing-button-skilled people.

I got all the above provblems but sometimes I intercepted theor passes..sometimes theye ven passed the ball to me ! I win 50 % of the time on world class...my best result was a 2-0 win against the team i support(arsenal)

I have probs even with the semi-pro level. I have lost my last game 7-4 against Arsenal (2halves 10minutes each)

they keep telling us that the total chenge the game that now is the real thing, and wath we get is the seme crap

I play futbol for real and wen we lose some times I don't get the frustration feeling I geting with ea sports.

I was tinking in buying this game but the way a see the demo a will prefer to get a new part of futboll cricks, and play for real

It ain't the usual crap! It's tons of times better! I don't know about you, but each time I play and loose, I feel frustrated just like in the game. If you don't like the game, simply don't buy it!

About the difficoulty, I play at semi-pro, and have plenty of fun. I don't master the game yet, so I will go on having suffering games and loosing, or dominating games and winning. I think it's quite realistic that each match is different. The computer playes better in some matches, and worse in others, independently from the score. Good job EA! :rockman:

yesterday evening I won in professional level 4:1 vs Arsenal

Guys! What are you talking about? The OPTION of difficulty selection was made just to CHOOSE the difficulty on which you'll have maximum fun and pleasure. I've played semi-pro... that was a bit easy and I tried pro... Pro was very tough to beat... I've made it only once 3:2 with Real, besides this result I was beaten dozens of times (2:5, 3:5; 1:4 and so on)... Anyway I've tried to play World class ;) Yes, it WAS very hard... I haven't even won a HALF of the match (what to say about the whole match :) but I see that when I play with maximum concentration and try to play LOGICALLY (with many passes, combinations and shoot from clear positions) it IS possibl to beat CPU ;) And he's not cheating this time... yes, maybe just a bit in tackling and dribbling but no more those surep-puper-sprinters who could run away from all your defenders or score from the center circle ;) Play, MASTER the game and it'll thank you with great feelings when you score a hard, decisive goal on extra time or vise-versa, missing a goal just cause you for only ONE second lost you concentration ;) Yep, That's football (soccer)... It's EA, It's in the game!

First of all i ask you to excuse my bad english, after all i am not a native speaker. I ve been reading your messages about the cpu been cheating or not , if it is easy to beat or not in pro or world class. At the beggining i had some dificulties to beat the cpu in pro and i was always thinking bad things about the mother of the creators of the game, their wifes etc... I almost always started the game winning and finished loosing. I play two halfs of 8 minutes each. Now i realized that ´s all about tactics. If you want to win in pro all you have to do is to maintain your players in the right positin in the field and to force the computer to move his players out of the position than you pass to the player that the computer is no more defending and that´s it you ll win easy. I almost always win now , it is true that i take more time to score but i do and the game seems quite realistic.
In world class ia use the same tactic but i don´t win very frequently, if i found something new i ll post it here. Someone said here in the forum that s a matter of concentration and i must agree with him , it is hard to maintain the concentration all the time of game but that´s the fun.

About the frustration... :rolleyes:

One thing is the frustration of losing a match, another thing is the feeling that you were not being able to touch the ball what doesn't happen in real life even if you're Afghanistan playing in the 2002 Asian Games, man. They were able to shot three times at goal in three matches.

Maybe it's a matter of time to get used to the new gameplay. But increasing difficult should not be only decreasing probabilities and but also including elegance, style and a "genius" touch in the way the players play.

And once again, I feel like the players are skating on ice. Are they using something from NHL in this game? :crazyboy:

I'm playing world class and dont have any unusual problems with passes. I do have with my gkeeper who stays far too far from his goal...

edit: besides u can change CPU_BAD_PASS_PERCENT in cpudiff.ini

Good idea, but I wish EA should think about it next time. :)

why the hell are you comparing fifa 2003 with real football?

fifa 2003 is a fricking computer game, and if you think a sports sim can really compare to the actual sport, you are quite insane.

You guys have to remeber that it's only a demo you'll have to wait for the full version of the game before you can really say whether or not the game has really improved or not.

What pisses me off more is that, from what I can tell, is that I cant re-assign buttons to my controller. I am using a usb converter for my psx controller. It is great in FIFA2002 and I had my lay out all worked out and everything... but since I cant change it in the demo I cant play the game with the controller but with the keyboard and put simply... these games arent made for the keyboard.

And as for changing the CPU pass thing, as far as I can see.. thats cheating. But it is a tad unrealistic how good they are.

yeh, that's right. You'll be able to have seasons and make your own teams. Much more fun than a simple demo.

am i the only one getting sick about the whining? what are you guys like 10? you have the game for a week and you expect to win easily in pro and world class, you shouldnt win easily in world class even if you have been playing the game for 2 months, if not it would get boring really fast.

is no one's fault that your passing sucks, if you pass it towards the opponent then they will steal it, it happens in real football, and I steal the ball quit a bit, you just need to move your player towards the ball.

And seriously whats with the whining? I cant win, I cant head the ball, i cant pass, can someone tell me how to head, and you make a new thread every time, is called playing the game and learning curve.. maybe thats why people here dont like PES, it takes skill to win..

Although this is only a demo, the gameplay WILL BE the same and will be as difficult


P.S I just won World Class wif Arsenal 2-1.......its really difficult...

First of all how old are you people?

Second of all when did the demo got released and you want to win already in the WC?
The Demo was released about 2 weeks ago not 2 months ago. How is it possible to master it in 2 weeks? And than start winning and than start complaning this game is too easy blah blah blah which really pisses me off. I am still trying to master the Pro.

Third of all how long does it take to win a game in the hardest level of PES WE ISS...?
I played ISS and took me a week to master the easiest levet. I was winning my 90% of my games in the pro in about of 1 month of play, I never I repeat never won other than tying in the hardest level after 3 months playing the great game.

Fourth of all have you mastered the great gameplay of fifa yet in the WC? No, no one probably did so why don't you people give it a chance and play the game patiently and master it just like people have mastered PES.... konami games and than you will have more fun. Learn your control buttons, keys so you can do more stuff and play it right. When I played ISS at first it was not fun at all I gave a chance and loved it.

I am with you, I am also sick to see these little kitties whine, I am here to read possitive things about the game sheeshh.

Also as you said it takes a skill to win the game. Not like preveouse fifa games. When ever I play fifa 2003 very fast without using my soccer knowlegde I loose all the time but when ever I start passing, looking for openings, taking my time than I would have some chance to win it, and thats what I really love to see ina soccer game. In preveouse fifa games all I did was pass it to my midfield put a through ball and get a goal in the break away.

I have been playing WE 2000 on my PC for more than 1 year and a half, and I lost many many games in the beggining.. It took me months to win on the hardest level ! And even today I lose games, I play international seasons and in one season I am the champion, in the other I am, say, 8th, even today.. And I kept trying because I always felt the "sense of reality" in the game, since the first time I played.. In Fifa I lose games but the goals that happen, the way the players position and behave are just not real yet..

I also must say that the game's much better than last versions ( which were unplayable ), but it's still years light behind even WE
------> 2000 <------... IN GAMEPLAY ! Of course the graphics are quite better.. :)

I don't agree with you there. Just because EA did this game in 4 months that does not mean that the gameplay is behind from PES. You guys need some psychological help, some of you don't want fifa to be good as PES. I guess Konami is doing it for the past 4-5 years and EA did a game just good as konami's in 4 months, I guess that bothers you?

I have been playing in WC for the past 3 days and you have said that the cpu always makes perfect passes? no no no no, stop the bull**** and get with the program. The CPU actually made so many mistakes as they were passing either through or normal passes. :kader: play your PES than

maybe they didnt make arsenal inferior..maybe the point is that the home team will always have an advantage( a new feature?) and in demo the default home team is real madrid.
