I hope that you can set the positions of your players in Fifa2003 , and not just formations. I had figo of the right wing turn and lob the ball down the middle to Zin , as soon as the ball was in flight to him he turned and ran back to the half way line. Aggggggggggg
I had an old game years ago , can't remember the name of it , but at the optoins page it gave a layout of the pitch. The pitch was marked in red from the goal line to about 30yrds from goal. This is where your defenders would operatre , if highlighted a defender and had him run with the ball over the halfway line as soon as he passed it , he would run back to his postion in this zone. The same was true for midfield and attack, but the good thing about it was you could drag each zone back and forward. I would drag the defence line all the way to the other teams goalline. The same with the other two so each zone covered all of the pitch from goalline to goalline. That way if I had a defender up the park, I could make him pass the ball and he would not go running back to his normal position, the same went for midfielders and forwards. This made for a more realistic game , and better moves.
If they could do that back then , why not now? There is nothing worse than to make a run up the wing pass inside only to see the defender running back over the halfway line , with no one to pass back to out on the wing. Sorry for rambling on.... Does anyone remember that game? where moving the zones was an option? I wish Fifa2003 had the same thing. For I hope what I seen today is sorted out in the final released version. But I think it may not be!
