I've decided that if you want to you can really play a lifelike game. I guess what it comes down to is individual people's playing styles. There are still those people who like to play in the early 90's soccer style where you just blast the ball up the field constantly and hope to get it to the ofrward and get a quick shot off. With Fifa 2003 you can really build a good slow game if you wish just like in real life.

I think my biggest problem with it initially (and I did give it a few negative comments I'll admit) is that I found it difficult to play compared to the style I had been playing Fifa 2002 or Fifa World Cup but after playign the game a lot I found out that the whole style of the game has changed quite a bit so to enjoy it you really have to adjust the way you play. I think a lot of younger players are gonna find this version difficult if they have an impatient style of play because the attack breaks down quickly if you're careless whereas in previous Fifa's you could get away with a lot of clumsiness and still get on route to goal.

On the subject of PES2 I've played the demo and yes, it is a great game but that doesn't make Fifa 2003 any less good. I'm happy to get Fifa 2003 and spend countless hours playing it and I thank EA that for the first time in years they have made a lifelike sim that intelligent soccer players can play as well as arcade happy kids.

So in summary, sorry Nick, you were right!

Yep, the game is very realistic. Not as much as PES/2, but certainly as fun and offers the same realism in build-up play is more!! :rockman:

Oh and FIFA 2003 rocks! :rockman: As they all say! :)

Hmmmm, no matter hard I try to look, nobody seems to compare this game with ISS2. Personally FIFA2K3 seems to be far superior (flame imminent) than ISS2, the shooting is great, the free kicks are a bit tricky, I don't particularly like the roulette style shooting set play system, but I'll get used to it.

Ive been using Real Madrid against Arsenal trying to get better at this game, using Professional level, I can easily beat Arsenal, my PC asked if I'd like to try World Class, but I got thrashed, all in all a good game.

Can't wait for the full version, which I will purchase, I'd still like EA to refund my copy of 2002 though, that game was eeek!!

I agree with you all here. From what I've played of the demo (which isn't much, cos my 3D card buggers up the graphics), it's looking really good. It is very different from FIFA2002, but that's good in my opinion. The new passing is great, and it looks far more realistic now. :) I actually managed to put a nicely weighted through-ball to Ronaldo who crashed home the finish. It had never looked that good in FIFA2002. Oh, and I like the new highlights bit at the end, which they had in FIFA97, I seem to remember. I really enjoy that bit. :D

Try Man Utd by the team raptor and then talk about the free kicks
it ll become a piece of cake for anyone
they mad Bekham is the best
it's v easy 2 score with him
i scored 5/6 of free kicks with him unlike Carlos and henry
I think the game is a fantastic comparing with any other Fifa title
and after some little change over the keepers - their level f intlegance- It will b one of the best soccer games n the stores now
and forgive my bad english
