Can anyone help me with my team? I leak goals all over the place. I have been playing cm for a year, and I always have the same problem - the highest goals in the league, and the most leaked. I am using a 4132 formation with Blackburn at the moment - hard tackling, normal mentality, using freidel and Chiotis, with defenders like Taribo West and Tugay in front, but still I have leaked 38 goals in 19 games. None of my defenders have a rating anywhere near the top in the league.
Also, should I be looking at defenders rating, or their tackles per game?

what i suggest is the following. Drop either ur LCB or RCB to sweeper (preferably someone that can play sweeper!), but keep them side by side (ie. not inline up and down the field, but sort of diagonal). Now put ur CM to DCM, in the same line as the Sweeper, with an arrow going straight forward to Centre Mid.
Make ur LM and RM wingers, with arrows going forward.

This is the final and most important step, right click on the CB and SW, and put marking on. (put it on man or whatever auto is, dont choose them urself ;))

ANd now ur CB's should play much better ;)

eh..... West is brilliant. Buy Ferdinand if you can, qall you have to do is have both your central defenders marking, however, i always say attack is the best form of defence.

try playing tugay further up front, it may not be your defence aswell it maybe the strikers not keeping the ball and losing possesion all the time, A great DMC would most probably be Ibriham Said or Assane N'Diaye (work permit prob for n'diaye)
If you do want to change your strike force i reccomend Maxim Tsigalko but bad problems with work permits again if not try Luci Toni from Brescia or elder Hadzimehmedoivc from Lyn (hes bosnian but also some other nationality that doesn't make him need a work permit)

well, attack in the best form of defence, aas i said, try using the 2-1-4-1-2, it sounds drastic!!! but it does work!

You should get high possesion an almost elimanate your defensive problems. DO NOT TRY IT AWAY TO MAN UTD ETC... though, ytou will get hammered.
