Yes stats aren't important but without Mikael Forssell Finland can't convert their situations into goals.

I know we didnt play good in the first half ... but we took over in the 2nd (H)

Niemi was fantastic but we really miss Forssell. I'm happy that he's back in the team for our next qualifying match but Ii fear it'll be too late.

Yes, Hyypiä played quite well & almosts scored twice from headers but the Yugo keeper made some awesome saves.

Checz were second in 96
Croats in 98
Turkey in 2k2

Dammit, it's time Yugo and Russia make it, the whole eastern europe did ;-p.

Finland has played the best football in this group but we haven't done the most important thing which is score goals. Tthat will all change when Mikael Forssell returns but I fear it will be too late.

Finland controlled both matches against Wales & Yugoslavia. But they just couldn't score. For example against Wales & Yugoslavia, Finland had at least 10 corners to 1 or something similar.

But we won't win games until we start scoring but Forssell will be back soon & our situation will be different.

I honestly think that Yugoslavia will beat Italy in the next match but I wish Finland will steer the Euro 2004 ship back on coarse when Forssell returns before it sinks. :(

I hope Yugo beats Italy in the next game ... then we will have mirkovic back as well ... i dunt know about Wales though ... i guess its Wales and Yugo now ... to see who is the best in this group

When Finland starts finding the net & we continue dominating matches then I think we can be a BIG threat. We are still confident.

Jevric was great & he's a top-class keeper but we made him look even better! We kept on shooting at the middle of the goal. The players looked like they weren't even interested in scoring. Did you see that shot from Litmanen which looked like a pass to Jevric's hands?!? :confused:

Hes very young ... and i am happy too see that we have a stable goal keeper that can play night in and night out
