I would like to know people opinion on Euro2004

who will qualify, who will struggel, who wont make it

and who will be in the final(s)

IMO: I believe it will be a Holland vs (dare I say it) England
Third place: Portugal vs Spain

France, Italy will make it and be the stars of the finals but will struggle in the finals

I doubt (even thought they playing well) that Wales will qualify also I have huge doubts obviously for Scotland and Ireland....

A few lesser name countries will qualify (hopefully Wales) but wont cause a stir like Senegal did in the finals

What do you guys think (not just of your countrys chances but all of them)

EDIT: i know of the other thread 'what are your countries chances' but this is about the entire tournament from qualifing to the final itself - im really looking forward to it

I rekon Holland will win againt someone. Portugal will struggle in the group stages. England will go far. Wales will qualify but get beaten in the quarter finals :mrpimp:

Scotland will qualify after finnishing top of Group 5 and then Germany will knock England out in the play-offs. ooh, that would be so good! (H)

The final will be Germany-Holland, after we beat England and Holland beat Portugal (H)

Group 1: 1. France, 2nd Israel
Group 2: 1. Denmark: Norway and Romania will fight for the play off and Romania goes to the play off.
Group 3: 1. Holland 2 Chech Republic
Group 4: 1. Poland 2 Sweden
Group 5: 1. Germany 2 a battle between Scotland and Iceland; Scotland edges through to the play off.
Group 6: 1. Spain 2 Ukraine
Group 7: 1. Turkey 2 England
Group 8: 1 Bulgaria 2 Belgium
Group 9: 1. Yougoslavia Second place between Italy and Wales. Italy goes through (experience).
Group 10: 1. Russia 2 Switzerland

In the finals in Portugal it will be very difficult to predict because there will be many countries who can win it.
I think the last four will be France, Holland, Portugal and Spain.

In the finals, Portugal will show their great talents as a host nation. They should be able to make it at least in the SemiFinals.

Group 1, no surprises at all, France will win the top group. Israel come second place.

Group 2, Norway, Romania, & Denmark are the equally balanced-teams to get 2 top spots. Norway & Romania will fit in the 2 top spots in their group.

Group 3 The Netherlands shouldn't find it difficult to finish top group. Czech Republic come second.

Group 4 Hungary and Poland will finish 2 top spots. Latvia are the interesting one to watch out after defeating Poland.

Group 5 Germany & Scotland will finish in 2 top spots. I still believe in Iceland's chances to finish runner-up despite their lost recently against Scotland.

Group 6 Spain will qualify as the winner in this group. Greece & Ukraine will battle in the second spot. Greece will likely to grab the second place.

Group 7 Turkey will certainly win this group after their showing as the top European team this time. England finish second place.

Group 8 Bulgaria will finish in the top. Belgium come second.

Group 9 Italy, I doubt about this team to qualify, 4 pts from 3 games so far, but there are still chances to win the top group. Yugoslavia & Wales should be in top 2 spots.

Group 10 Russia & Switzerland will finish 2 top spots respectively.

Finals : The Netherlands & Portugal. :)

I can't believe no one thinks Ireland won't quality. They are already second in group 10 and also have Russia at home later on. They are on an amazing streak and I feel that both them and Austria will make the finals.

Ireland won w/o Damien Duff (who will be back in form in a few days) in the 2-0 result at home against Georgia recently, Brian Kerr seems to be pushing all the right buttons, and Robbie Keane is playing magnificently.

Why are you guys all so sure that Russia will qualify? I hope they do, they are my home country, but why do YOU think they will qualify?

Hopefully they can do it this time, Russia has been in the finals lot of times but failed to win even once.

I say Portugal x Spain final. Both countries have struggled in big tourneys, but 2004 will be the time where these two power houses will do well....

First off I think that Portugal are goina be a miserable failure even though I would liek to see them do well.
