hi. i have fapl manager 2000 and i always see these things called patches. this probably sounds stupid but what are they????

Well, patches are sort of (unofficial) updates for computer games to make them more realistic!

For instance FIFA99 was released in October 1998 during the 98/99 season. Before a new season starts there are a lot of player transfers, jersey changes and not to forget relegation and promotion!
Each season some nice people spare no effort to update all this stuff and share it with others. These updates are called patches!

hi. thanks for responding. anyways i went to www.premierleaguemanager.com and there were 2 files to download. What are they??? (i know they are patches but what will happen when i download them?)

Well I'm not familiar with the Premier League Manager so I don't know what these patches do!?

Usually patches come along with instructions which means there should be a manual in the ZIP file! Download the files and read the instructions then you will know what these patches are for!

Btw. you need WinZIP to unpack the ZIP file!
