Users should be able to ADD any number of leagues and teams without having to replace those already in the game. The same could go for stadia. Also, it would be nice to be able to choose one of several balls, again with the user able to add more without replacing any.
The first big advantage would be the end of complaints in these forums about certain leagues being included or excluded.
Additionally, if this option is included, EA could release freely downloadable add-on leagues, stadia, etc., or even package a lot of them into an expansion pack. Maybe even a separate "leagues CD" including literally dozens or even hundreds of new leagues (think, you could challenge yourself by trying to beat Man U with the side currently in the bottom of the Cypriot 7th division!) and a "stadia CD" filled with stadia from around the world. Definitely worth a thought.

That is probably the most well-reasoned, cogent, articulate post that anybody has made on this topic. I couldn't agree with you more.
I hope that you will send your idea to EA Sports if you haven't already.

I just did some calculations... Assuming that the average league has about 20 teams, each league, along with the home grounds for ALL teams in the league, as well as league-specific adboards and ball, should take up, at most, 10 MB of space. Assuming that EA fills all 650 MB of a CD-ROM with leagues and stadia, a single CD-ROM could easily hold 65 leagues with stadia for all teams, adboards, and the leagues' own official balls. I'm estimating that every professional league in existence in the world , going all the way down to the bottom divisions in all countries, with ALL home grounds, could fit in 6-8 CDs (and yes, if people can collect 10 GBs worth of MP3s, SOMEONE WILL get all 5 gigabytes of leagues, stadia, and graphics - the beauty of it all is that it's possible! Giving the user the option of adding even more leagues could mean that FIFA 2000 Online might offer amateur, college, high school, or even youth leagues to add further to the game. I can't wait for my high school team, myself included, to get in, so I can see how we'd stack up against Team Brazil... ;-) Anyway, I think this gets the point across, the ability to add new leagues makes the game truly unlimited.
An addition to the original suggestion would also be to give each league its own set of adboards, of course.
Sorry if I seem long-winded, I just wanted to elaborate on some of the possibilities...

That would be hard to program in. We think it's easy but it's not. I can write code in C++ and think it would be a bitch with making a database. Plus all the time that it would take. It would take a lot of time for the stadiums and kits... Good idea though (it has also crossed my mind).
Cheers Paul
It would be really nice if EA could create a Disc with add-ons or programs to create (not edit like Elninho sad) leagues with all crap like, flags, logos, and ability to play Euro Cups and stuf. It could be nice if there were a special programm for creating new stadiums like FA PL Menager (however it should not be exactly a SIM-STADIUM game).
