View Full Version : What's happening with AHN?
Sir Calumn 22-10-2002, 04:39:AM Remember that Great Korean World cup star AHN?
Well, I was wondering - what actually happened to him after he got sacked from Perugia?
I heard a rumour that he was coming to England but that appears not to be true. Has any other club signed him or is he still considering his options? Anyone know?

That's a shame he could have done better than J-league(no offence) but he has more quality than that and could only have improved if he stayed in Europe.
Sir Calumn 22-10-2002, 09:57:AM He would be great at a lower half of the table premiership club like Bolton or Charlton. He could even do well at one of the worlds greatest clubs: CHELSEA
However, the J-League probably suits him better. Anyone know which club he's gone to?

Personally, I don't think Ahn is all that great and would not have much success outside of the J-League. He had a good World Cup, but honestly, most of it was luck.
MuRcY[b] 22-10-2002, 06:41:PM yer i think juventustita (spelling? ) is right ... i thought he was quite crap in many games but scored that crucial goal against Italy ... ive been watching the games i taped from WC2002 past couple o weeks (dam i miss the WC) & seriously ... The refs were sooo bloody **** , Korea should never have made it that far ... got nothing against em mind you but its an injustice ... it sux
hihiii that was my 200th post! :crazyboy:
MuRcY[b] 22-10-2002, 06:43:PM im still a boot cleaner? DAMMIT! :f***:
Laziomania 22-10-2002, 07:13:PM He have the quailty to be success in European League!!
But Perugia just wanna sack him because of kicking Italy out of WC, is it fair play?? If this going on, England, Spain, Italy and Germany will be the only winner of WC, they haev the best league in the world and all the player fear of defeating them!!
MuRcY[b] 22-10-2002, 11:41:PM .... no
AberdeenFC 23-10-2002, 12:33:AM i think it was right to sack him, cause he probebly would have got shot if he stayed in italy :kader:
WOLF88 23-10-2002, 03:34:AM Amazing... He was already on his way out, before the WC, he played like **** at Perugia...
after his WC spell he thought of getting Mow money from Perugia... and that is where the rift between his agent and the club started!
And I find it disgusting how some of you are judging Italians...
David Trezeguet destroyed Italy in the Euro 2000 final... And his now voted Best player in Italy...
Chris Ma 23-10-2002, 05:58:AM i've heard that he just signed a one year contract with S-Pulse. After than, he will go back to Europe.

No, that wasn't fair, but Wolf is right, he did play **** at Perugia. Don't defend Ahn just because he is Korean.
juventusita 25-10-2002, 12:49:PM Let's put it this way, if Ahn was really that good, he would have been snapped up by a club in Europe.
Same with Hakan Sukur, all of the clubs either can't afford his ridiculous wages or know that his career at the highest level is done.
ytwoaone 02-11-2002, 07:34:AM Ahn would probably have made it in either Spain or England, not Italy (few foreign stars have any success in Italy - most go there for the money - few have any intentions of playing for the colours)
