I know how to use it...but the curves are always the same really thin and grey line. How on Earth can this be cahnged because the curve I've made doesn't look like it's a graphic. It looks like the curve is halfway through the process of making it??

If you know what I mean, and how to help me, it would be appreciated, thanks.

Before doing anything....make sure you have chosen the colour you want your line to be, and also click on the brush tool and just pick a round smooth edged brush, no faded edges.

Once you've done this, click on your pen tool to start....

1. On a new layer, draw your curved line with the pen tool.

2. Right-click on your line with the Pen tool still on, and choose "Stroke Path"

3. Then from the stroke path pop-up, choose what you want to use.....I recommend the brush tool (Pencil will give you jagged edges).....Now, in doing this, Photoshop will draw your curve using whatever colour and brush you have selected at the time. Remember, a smooth edged, round brush will give you the smoothest curve. The thickness of your curved line will also depend on the size of the round brush you chose way back in the begining.

4. With your pen tool still selected, right click again and choose "delete path" to get rid of the thin grey line.

Sorry saurabh, I'm not very experienced with PSP :( I think Kader or Hakeem have used PSP, maybe you can contact one of those guys with your question.

Well, I've always use PSP 7.04 and I have to say is pretty easy.

Select the Lines Tool

Now go the Tools Box you'll see a combo box that displays a list where you can chose the style of the line to do: a normal line (I dont remember the exact name right now as I'm at work and dont have the prog here), curved lines (bezier curve) and then you have free hand and one more that I've never used.
You'll have the size of the line too of course and also 2 options: antialias and the other one I dont remember the name but its the same as Photoshop's "stroke path"[b/] which means that the second color you have selected in the palette will fill the place between the 2 ends of the lines.
So always selcet antialias and dont select the stroke path option and that's it (this options are by default like that).

It it doesnt matter in what layer are you "standing on" (the one you have selected) as long as it doesnt have [b]vectors.
If it has vectors, then the line will go to the group of vector that is in that layer. This means that when you use the Move Tool (maybe dont exactly that name but is the one with the cross (the big + ) ) you 'll move the entire group of vectors (lines, words, etc).
If it doesn't have vector, then a new layer will be created with just this line in it. and by using the Move Tool you'll just move this line.
If you want to move just one of the lines in the group on the same layer then you have yo use the Vector Tool (again not the exact name :( ) that will let you move all the vectors like lines, shapes, words, etc and you can also edit these wil a double click instead of going to then layers tool.

Go we go to the curves: select the bezier curve and go to the image. Click (always left) on the first point of the line and without releasing the button, take it to the other point. You can release it now.
You'll see that your line is transparent now and you'll see it as a rect line because you haven't set the curve points yet. There are 2 points so set the curves so what you have to do is make a click in the trasparent line but not in the middle or in one of the sides of it. It has to be between the middle and one of the sides and without releasing the button, move the point around and you'll see that the transparent line will make curves as you move the point. Release it where you want that first point and now do the same with the second point, only that now selecting it between the middle and the Other side of the original transparent line.
And that's it, by using the Tool Box you can change the color or size of the line without changing the shape. And you can also take the antialias out or put the stroke path if you want and you can also put borders to the line (using the color boxes).

And remember that by using the Vector Tool, you change the shape of the line and even make it a rect line again.

Well that's it, hope it helps, I don't have the program here so I hope you understand the no-correct-names-of-the-tools thing. :)
