Does anybody know of a program that will let me play FIFA2k without the CD.

Nope, but why not copy the CD and find the patch for that? It's out there (maybe called "US version", but works fine with Dutch version) and a friend of mine used it (after copying my CD)... no problems...

It is extremely annoying that after every match the CD occasionally fails to kick in which hangs the PC, which is a real bummer if you have just got a good result.

I can't see why th PC is trying to read the CD at this point anyway. Any suggestions.

It might be a problem with your CD-ROM player or something, 'coz I haven't had that hang problem. Cleaning the CD might help...

Go to www.megagames.com,go to the cracks section, you should find the cd-crack for
Fifa2000(extract to crack to your f2000 main folder and execute!)
