Palmeras's best player was Alex by far. Manchester United's best lpayer= BOSNICH!! Great game for him. He was man of the match in my opinion. Great attacking game by both teams, but united deserved it no doubt. Congratulations!!

In my opinion the best player of Manchester was Giggs. Palmeira´s best was Júnior, the left-wing. There´s no doubt that he is one of the top 5 left-wing in the world.

But Manchester is a great team. And Palmeiras proved to be a good squad as well.

Marcos failed in Giggs goal, but he is the second best goalkeeper in Brazil, trust me.

I just can't believe it. Marcos is the best goalie in Brazil, but today he seemed so stupid... Plmeiras was far better than Manchester but very unlucky. We can't forget that Alex scored a goal but the referee wrongly gave an offside. Alex was in a good position and there was a defender in front of him. But I can't do anything... Referees are referees.

I watched the game. Since I'm not english or Brazilian and my favourite teams on that parts being Blackburn Rovers and Portuguesa de Desportos I think that I can have a fair vision of the game:

Manchester was the best team on the field. Plameiras played good but Man's man were a bit better. Im my - always subjective-opinion It's unfair to say that Manchester didn't deserve the victory. Sure they scored on a screw up of Marcos but... it's football and in football there is always one mistake.

Apart from that Manchester was stronger and a more solid team that won by a neck, but won...

Both teams played well. Alex was NOT offsides, and that referee can just shove it. I can not say who should've been the winner, because like Soccer Guy said, it seems that every time Man U playes against a good team that might beat them, the refs start cheating!!
Oh well, Man U. won and thats life. It doesnt mean that European clubs are better than S. American clubs, and vice-vera if Palmeiras had won.
Both continents are VERY good football continents. It is damn near impossible to say who truly is the better one.......

Alex's goal was miles offside i saw it.
The Man U defence was superb and what got through that was stopped wonderfully by Bosnich.
I'm no Man U fan but they played better.The Palmerias midfield was good but their attackers let them down

Alex's was NOT offside, but that was not the only mistake. Once, Asprilla and Paulo Nunes were NOT offside, but the both passed by man utd's defense and the referee gave other wrong offside! All tackles by Palmeiras were fouls in the opinion of the referee, and when Manchester fouled, he simply let that pass. FIFA is blamed for teaching the referees that S. American players are violent and jump whenever someone gets close to them. It's getting insuportable to see Intercontinental games because Europeans are always in advantage becaus of the referees.
