Hi there!

I bought FIFA 2000 PSX two weeks ago and have played it a lot since. However, I am really amazed at the different level of 'pleasure' I get from playing against one of my mates compared to playing against the computer/AI.
Against my mates, FIFA 2000 plays like a dream, we get realistic results (8. min halfs) and very exciting and intense matches. Not so when facing the AI. If I play on Amateur level I win comfortably every time, even if I play a crap team like Port Vale against Brazil. In World Class mode I lose big every time, and I this thought the playing the Professional mode would be best suited for me. Right?? Wrong! If I play with a good team against mediocre opposition I occasionally manage to scrape out a draw or a narrow win, but the thing is: it is no fun!!!! The game runs way to fast (referred to as ping-pong mode by others on this forum) and frantic passing and tackling is the order of the day. Only the 360degree spin works well of the skill moves, and there is no time to consider your next move due to the relentless pace of the opposition. So I wonder, is anyone else getting enjoyment out of playing the AI in Pro mode? If so, I'll be happy to get some tips of how to improve my game (apart from reprogamming the AI. that is!)

I have a PC and so don't know if this helps:

Increase the game speed on Amateur level and play until you get several good results. Then decrease the speed and start playing on Pro Level- You ill see that now you game reflexes are better...

At least it works for me- I now think that Pro level isn't that fast....

Someone suggested that if you are playing in a league and you want more realistic results you can decrease your opponnents attacking bias.
I tried this and I have to say it does help although I still seem to get big wins, but goals against look a lot better.
I'm playing on pro level on PSX, Scottish league, Celtic, P25 W20 D4 L1. 53 for 17 against. Six points clear at the top.
Beaten Rangers 3 times so far (pity it's not for real)
Hope this is of help

Maybe the speed is too much, try decreasing the speed or doing what the guy previous my msg said by playin pro on fast level and then decreasing it

Thanks for the tips -- I tried the speeding up then slowing down process all evening, and it did work to some extent! When I combined it with reduced attack intensity for the opposition, I managed to beat Brazil 3-1 playing as Norway! In my book that's a realistic score....
