Hi there!
I bought FIFA 2000 PSX two weeks ago and have played it a lot since. However, I am really amazed at the different level of 'pleasure' I get from playing against one of my mates compared to playing against the computer/AI.
Against my mates, FIFA 2000 plays like a dream, we get realistic results (8. min halfs) and very exciting and intense matches. Not so when facing the AI. If I play on Amateur level I win comfortably every time, even if I play a crap team like Port Vale against Brazil. In World Class mode I lose big every time, and I this thought the playing the Professional mode would be best suited for me. Right?? Wrong! If I play with a good team against mediocre opposition I occasionally manage to scrape out a draw or a narrow win, but the thing is: it is no fun!!!! The game runs way to fast (referred to as ping-pong mode by others on this forum) and frantic passing and tackling is the order of the day. Only the 360degree spin works well of the skill moves, and there is no time to consider your next move due to the relentless pace of the opposition. So I wonder, is anyone else getting enjoyment out of playing the AI in Pro mode? If so, I'll be happy to get some tips of how to improve my game (apart from reprogamming the AI. that is!)
