God I love the off-season. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

From Midas Soccer....

Despite the signing on Argentinian ace Daniel Cordone, and the reported link with Belgian striker Emile Mpenza, Bobby Robson is said to be lining uo Michael Bridges for a return to his native North East.

Bridges is a Newcastle fan, who has been a revelation at Leeds since his arrival.

Whether the arrival of Mark Viduka will see him pushed down the pecking order remains to be seen.

If so, expect Robson to make a move, although at the moment he is being linked with every striker going !

Whatever happens, it reinforces the view that Duncan Ferguson's days are numbered with The Magpies.

Another player who's days at the club are drawing to a close is Temuri Ketsbaia, and some media reports are suggesting a swop deal involving Fulham's former Mags ace Lee Clark. Des Hamilton could also be used in the deal.

Leeds won't sell one of their most valuable players of last season.
10-mil-pounds is too low

I sort of agree.

But O'Leary has to sell a striker....

If O'Leary sells a striker it'll be either Huckerby or Alan Smith.

O'Leary doesn't need to sell a striker. When he bought Huckerby, he was adding depth to the squad and said that Huckerby would have been at Leeds even if Jimmy had stayed. Going by that, he has the number of strikers with Viduka that he wanted. Smith won't be sold, he is a plyer for the future, Huckerby can play on the wing if needed and we have no right wingers. Bridges won't be going anywhere, he may have been a Newcastle fan as a boy, but he is happy at Leeds and doesn't want to move at all, nevermind to a club not in the champions league. Kewell can play on the left again or as a support man.

Besides, is everyone forgetting that Kewell and Viduka will miss the first month of the season to play for Australia??? If anyone is sold it will be after that. Personally I believe that we won't sell a striker unless one of them decides that they want to leave.
