Possibility of a patch???

Q&A History

Hi Pearce,

I have taken all your comments on board and have passed them on to the relevant team. I too hope that the suggestions you have made are implemented in a patch, as I too believe that the points you have made are not only valid, but again as you say, detract from Fifa being the most realistic football simulation on the market.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us with these comments.

Regards,

Pete

Hrmmmz - at least the support staff agree with us - just hope the Developers sort it, Please people keep sending EA e-mails.
We should not have to wait until 2004 for these things to be fixed.

No m8 - although it may be worth your while contacting them about it.
I have e-mailed them about a Gameplay patch-loads of threads in the forums about it.

What did you ask for to be included into the patch?

Here was my question m8 - pls contact them yourself 2-the more ppl complain the more chance of a patch-I have also sent a letter t0 PC Zone:) after they awarded the game 80%.
It ain't worth that imo-with the bugs present-with them fixed the game will rock.

Now on to my question...........
Fifa 2003 is a good but ultimately frustrating game.
What is the closest simulation of Football ever has been let down by the most annoying bugs. I would like to know if you would pass this info on to the developers in order that they may see fit to patch the game rather than make us wait (unfairly imo) for the next release.

Major bugs that seriously impair the gameplay.

1. Inability to head the ball whilst unmarked - yet the computer AI is able to do this.
2. The header and keeper charge buttons being one and the same - this is immensley frustrating and needs rectifying asap.
3. No swerve on the ball! After implementing a superb free-kick system - you leave out the swerve option in open play! this really detracts from the game.
4. No difference in players sprint speeds - regardless of how far in front of the opposition you recieve the ball, they always catch you! again very frustrating and totally unrealistic!

I could go on but they are the "bugs" that could really do with being patched. Come on EA don't make us wait another year before rectifying this please.
Thx for listening!

Actually, i have already sent an email to EA regarding the heading problems and the swerve exclusion.

So, hopefully we might get a patch.

Does anybody know if EA are actually producing a patch?

i sent my email to suggestions@ea.com

Could somebody please tell me if i have sent to the wrong place. I did get an automated confirmation email back, notifying me that it would get forwarded to the developers in question.

the only thing that annoys me from that list is #1, the rest I dont have any problems with.. i think the passing is great, the shooting is good, the headers system is good, my keep doesnt come out in corners,

My FIFA doesn't work anymore!:( Yesterday everything worked fine. I wanted to start it today and when the black screen came it went back to my desktop. I reinstalled already. I also removed CC and nothing didn't work. Does somebody know how to fix it.

Tanks in advance,

Youri Bakker

You're in the wrong thread

Have no idea why it doesn't work. All i can say is to reinstall it. If not, then format your computer and install it once you are up and ready.
