If I was a glory supporter (however much you hate it, you clearly are) I would be saying Leeds will win - but no, i know enough about football (and am unbias enough) to see Man Utd have the depth where Leeds will (again) be tired, and losing players will cause a weakened team. I can also see next season with a stronger backup squad, Leeds are more likely to win.

The difference between the majority of supporters on here (including me, kewell, lord etc) and you two, is that we know our football, and are true supporters. We can therefore talk realistically about our clubs, and others. You two however, don't know a thing about football and are simply glory supporters who go around saying "we're the best" and "everyone else sucks" and not talking at all realistically about your, and other, clubs.

I don't live in Manchester, so that makes me a Glory Hunter....who the **** am I suppose to cheer or when my city only has a professional indoor soccer team.(which is the Edmonton Drillers from the NPSL) I do go to their games but there isn't an outdoor team here and we only get English Premier League gams here on CTV Sportsnet. I've cheered for Manchester United ever since I was a little kid, I saw a game at my friends house and they won and ever since I've liked them. I cheer for England....does that mean I'm also a glory hunter....no because they almost didn't make Euro 2000. If Manchester United didn't kick everybodies ass last year than you guys wouldn't give a **** if we liked them but since they are good you guys get al jealous. I know there are some glory hunters out there but if they are glory hunters they don't know **** about Man Utd. so they keep there mouths shut so they can change teams whenever. I'm not going to call anyone in here a glory supporter, because I might be wrong. But just because Man Utd won the treble doesn't make every other English team ****. But winning the treble is an unrealistic expectation for most teams because they don't have the finances for starters. What I'm trying to say is that, for example, Manchester city were in a play-off final to get into the first division. 2-0 down with minutes remaining, somehow they managed to claw back and win the game, and now they're pushing for a premier league place. To me, that's as big as an achievement as winning the European Cup because that is the only expectation people could have of the club. Another good example is Wimbledon, who just 25 years ago were a poor conference team. Think of it like Boxing. Manchester United are a heavyweight but Wimbledon are a flyweight. Manchester United become heavyweight champions of the world and Wimbledon, flyweight champions of the world. Now we all know Manchester United could smash the **** out of Wimbledon because they are too strong, but that doesn't prove who the better boxer is does it?

Well, there's got to be more to ManUtd's support than gloryhunting. My entire country (well, almost) has been rooting for them for years. At Nou Camp 99 everyone was ecstatic.


I think Manchester's achievement is held as better because of obvious reasons...It's more titles, it's more prestige, vs. better teams, etc....

Anyone who can remember our heartbreak in 1995 when we lost 3 titles and sticks with us in my opinion is a real Man Utd supporter, I've supported Man Utd since 1984 when for my fourth birthday I got to watch a Football match on TV for the first time, United were playing Charlton I think. And I remembered thinking that football was brilliant, and I've stuck with Man Utd since
then. I cried when we finished second to Liverpool in 1989, cheered when we lifted the cup in 90, suffered heartbreak when Leeds beat us in 92 and then the good times came back with our first championship in 25 years. followed by the Double, sealed with the 4-0 destruction of Chelsea with Eric scoring twice and Sparky and Choccy getting the other two. (Hughes and McClair). The reason that I'm telling you this, is that I want you to see not all Man Utd fans are Glory Boys, it's just that the team I chose turned out to be the Greatest in the World so get over it!
