View Full Version : Post boosting
Keegan 22-11-2002, 06:01:AM Would someone please explain what the point is to "post boosting"? I take it to mean making assinine posts that only add to your post count, but what does that accomplish? What, do you get free lunches or something after X posts? WTH?
windtalker 22-11-2002, 06:31:AM Postboosting is that if someone is posting some crap to boost up his post count, like some people are posting one thing over and over again.
some people go to Fifa 2003 forum to comment all the kits, like they say "great kit" without even looking on the kit. If u understand. :)
Some people think they are very cool when they have many posts.
Julianinho 22-11-2002, 06:41:AM So they can look good with their 10,000 posts....:f***:
Nimreitz 22-11-2002, 11:31:AM It is in my experience that a lot of times, people respect someone's opinions more if they have a higher post count. Sometimes they get away saying some stupid **** more often than someone with a low post count. Because of that I think people want to get a higher post count and so they just post random crap about stuff they don't know. Or they make multiple posts in a row when it would have made more sense to just edit your post. Don't get me wrong, it is acceptable in certain cases to make a few posts in a row, but a lot of times, it's to boost their post count.
I've found respect being a small post user elsewhere. Just don't like an asshole when you have very little posts and people will respect you.

i disagree because, if u talk nonsence, no matter what post count u have people judge upon ur post not ur count. U can build respect on the board however, through your posting, where u abide the rules and post accordingly. Its like making friends, u dont make friends bye dribbling sh!t to people, u do by being there to support eachother, and by talking to people friendly and sensibly.
n e ways,
Lui

yeah, but ur not a frequent poster, like most of us. here and there u come on and post ur hwk, and some other stuff everynow and the.
to take the cake i will use lior or matt h, for example, look at their post count, and look at their positions in the sg hierarchy. ;)
Moron 23-11-2002, 06:15:PM yea i guess, u're right, but anyways i found this forum that does help me in homework and i got all my questions answered not like you guys baffling **** about me:(

it takes some people time to get settled in to the forum. although, the respect idea has to work both ways, and u cant try to use people for hw and stuff. u can ask for help sometimes, but be prepared for critisism, etc, coz people may not agree with what u want them to do, and respect their thoughts. Ie, keep posts clean and not meen.

Regardless of what I think of this matter, they are part of the hierarchy because of their work for soccergaming.com and actually running/owning the place, not for what they post.
People post boost to.......... wouldn't have a clue. :crazyboy:

Lior works for SG ... doesn't own.
Matt owns it :)
The reason why you dont find Matt posting often on these forums is the time he has ... he like mega busy and so is Lior :o
To work at SG ... you just gotta be nice ... and if your opportunity comes then it comes :)

I agree, but regardless, there are people, who are nice in the forum that are not in position and are respected. Look at me for eg :p .
