Well, it happened, Vasco vs Corinthians in the World Club final.
It was a good game, that went scoreless due to both clubs being VERY good.
Then it was on to the penalties, where Dida proved he is truly the best GK in the world by saving his 8th penalty total!

After that, with Corinthians up 4 to 3 in the penalties, Edmundo steped up for Vasco, and sent the ball flying behind the goal, and Corinthians into the history books!!

Well now, two Brazilian team in the final, a Brazilian world champion.....I can only imagine the excuses that are going to be coming from the Europeans now!
Goonerboy showed his maturity by admiting that Brazilian clubs are good, instead of trying to cover it up in a wall of excuses....good going Gooner!
But I know the rest of you. You are going to be shouting one excuse after another.
But to tell you the truth, I am looking forward to them, because they are quite funny.
So, on with the European excuses......lets see what our friends from across the Atlantic has to say..........

It was a dull game with little flashes of what it might of been if Corinthians hadn't of killed the game.

The shooting was Very poor from both teams and to be honest i was disappointed with what I saw. i feel a little sorry for Edmundo and Vasco who I thought deserved the victory.

Any news where the next game will be held, Europe? if so I fancy an all european final, maybe Italy v Spain?

It was a truly wonderful game. Corinthians truly deserved, and the game was wonderful.

Now, Galo has a very good point. I would like to hear all of the excuses. Remember, they are all professional futebol players. Not little children. So please, make the excuses relevant, not with-out fact.

Battiston, I have heard a lot of rumours about Dida. From Lazio to Arsenal to Madrid (both Athletico and Real) to Marsielle (I hope I spelled that right). Best not to believe until they come true.

it sucked like hell. have watched the game entirely and it was the most boring match i eve saw. if you think the match was good then you're some hopeless couple of kids

E eu ainda acho que o Didi não é o melhor goleiro, e igual aos outros, nao sabe sair do gol, mas pelo menos ele sabe pegar penaltys e isso o faz diferente.
