My vote would go to Tardelli .If not him,Trapattoni should take his job .

I guess Il Trap will be a good coach, but not only is his game a bit antique, but Taredelli knows the next generation of Italian players really well, so he should do it.
I love his 3-4-1-2, he really brings out the offense.
Expect this team if he'll take over:

Buffon (Toldo) - Nesta, Zanchi, Cannavaro - Zambrotta, Gattuso, Baronio, Maldini - Totti - Vieri, Montella

Pirlo should become an A-side player really soon. Now that would rock!

How about Vialli? He plays an adventerous style and always provides entertain soccer in the some what dull English game. You saw what he did with Flo / Weah etc.

Imagine what he could do with guys like Vieri and Ventola.

I bet he's one guys with enough balls to rid the team of the likes of Del Piero too.

No one should be the next coach of Italy. Berlusconi needs to know his role and shut his mouth. Dino Zoff is a fantastic coach who knew his priorities. Italy first, everyone else second. His only mistake was selecting Del Piero. His tactical moves were simply engenious. From Totti, Delvecchio and Inzaghi, to Iuliano, Nesta and Cannavaro. He took Italy to the final with out a loss, and to the brink of their first major title since '82. He did it without Italy's best striker, without Buffon, without Conte and with Italy's worst striker. He is brilliant, and although I have never rooted for Italy (sorry guys) I have come to admire Zoff over the last month. And even though he might not come back, he should.

But if he does not, Trappatoni or Taredelli will do just nicely. They are the only ones who would tell Berlusconi where to stick his comments and tell the Italian Press where to stick Del Piero.

BTW .... Cantona .... where you been??
