Surprised news...Arie Haan (former Dutch midfielder in 1974 & 1978) will be coaching Chinese FA although it's still unconfirmed yet.
Seem like Dutch coaches are the now favorites for some Asian countries after Guus Hiddink.
News (http://www.soccernet.com/global/news/2002/1123/20021123chinahaan.html)
I think this is not a job which fit Arie Haan.
The man himself is very arrogant and I don't believe that's a very good characteristic when coaching Chinese people.
I think you need to understand asian people very well to succeed overthere.
They choosed him because his salery-demands where modest and because he didn't need an assistent.
I give him three months; than he either is sacked or he choose to risign himself.

I think the Asian countries will go for any European coaches with some pedigree.
Peter Withe has managed to form Thailand into the strongest side in South East Asia.
Alan Harris' magic with the Malaysian soccer team is also starting to produce some significant results.
