Well, we've all seen the topics on this forum, and nobody seems to be able to import boots without any problem, I had the same problem but suddenly, today when I tried to import Cashless' Nike Mercurial Vapor grey/red, I had no problem at all!
It works perfect in every match!
It doesn't display an error in Ea Graph. and the game doesn't exit to windows or what ever!

Looks very good huh?
I consider myself very lucky to have it in my game and working 100% normal! :)

And no, nicholas, I'm not going to try to make a complete set, because I'm afraid, that if I import something it will give an error again, I'm happy just the way it is now..

U know the patch from fifa korea.

The guy who made them set famous players with their own boots.

So obviously u cud set any boot to any player.

I was wounderin if any1 knew how to put E.g. the normal adidas preditor mania on all players who wear them. maybe sum1 should e-mail that guy. It would be amazin if he managed it.

To be honest the game looks s**t with all players wearin the same boots especially if there colourful ones.

copy and paste the whole fifa 2003 folder.. that's if you have lots of harddrive space. :)

Yeah I`m also waiting for a patch that allows us to wear the Adidas on Raul, Zidane, etc. Nike on Ronaldo, Carlos, the white one on Totti, and many-many more. BTW I`ve e-mailed Ariel Santarelli about this, hope he will find the way.

at the end of the filename of the boots there's a 3 digit number..
that 3 digit no. is the face no. of a player..

I don't have a serious powerfull videocard since my comp is 2 years old, but I have a Geforce 2 Ultra MMX , uopgraded to 46 mb video.

Conclusion, you can import the files with a different player nu,ber and import that player's shoe picture in the file, but in the game when you play a match, the players still has it's old boots ( the ones before you did al this trouble!)
So , if you thought you discovered a superb new way to give each player his own unique boots, then you're wrong because I had already discovered it,tried it, and it doesn't work,

I think because the .exe (fifa2003.exe) is not programmed to pick up the new imported files...

Yeah, but someone is working hard how to edit boots for different players, check out the MS-Acces editing thread ( sorry, but I forgot what is the page number :( )

You need to install the fifakorea boots patch first, than there's no problem anymore when importing other boots!

MS Editing won't work, as the most players they can get to have individual boots is still 12, this is because MS Editing only edits the .dbi file, and the information is hard-coded in the .exe. I've checked, and there seems to be no way to add players who have boots, only to change players who have boots.

It's always going to be 12 players with individual boots, unless we can find a way in the .exe, which is highly unlikely.

Hercules, thanks for your explanation but I think it is coming sometime, somewhere, a program that allows us to give certain boots to certain players...
For example: Look at Kit Raptor and Ball raptor, and Adboard Raptor, I believe a boot raptor will come too!!
Ariel Santarelli is amazing with the fifa files, so I think we still have a chance of editing the boots for each player guys!

I don't think even Ariel will make it, because it's simply hard coded. This is completely unlike the situation in the kit and the ball raptors, which the graphics can be easily changed even without the raptors, by simple import and export functions provided by other programs such as gfxpak, impbig, BigGUI. Whereas, in boots, there are 12 numbers corresponding to the 12 players who has boots in the .exe, changing the numbers are okay, since you don't change the structure of the file, but adding would add lines to the file, thus the structure changes. Unless, we can understand the .exe, which is impossible, as it's flipping 3000000+ bytes of code.....

I am lucky that I even found where the boot numbers are located in there.

So, a boot raptor is highly unlikely.

Just wanted to say this, because I don't want you guys get your hopes up, and also don't want ppl keep pressing Ariel to make a boot raptor as you want it, because it's next to impossible.

Hi, I found a kind of solution for the boots thing. You know the number of players that can have their own boots is limitated. I was cheking who were those players and I realised that I never played with bassegio, or Olisadebe or van bronchorts (or however the name is). So I gave bassegio the defaults boots and Ronaldo his own, here is a pic.
