i predict a huge brawl will erupt in the stands. hooligans will be rampant and the field will be swarmed. those beckham assains will capture becks, scholes will be trampled and be a vegetable for the rest of his life and vn will go to arsenal because they are a better team then liverpool and man utd.

Liverpool will take the lead through Michael Owen after he easily outruns Laurent Blanc and sidefoots it pass Barthez.

United will pull things back to 1-1 through a Ryan Giggs solo effort.

United will then take the lead through a Ruud Van Nistelrooy effort into the top right of Liverpool's goal.

United will then seal the game through a Van Nistelrooy penalty after Solskjaer is fouled by Jamie Carragher in the box.

-Liverpool will score early thru baros.
-United will equalise thru van nistlerooy
-United will go 2-1 up thru a nistlerrooy penalty after he dives in the box to claim it :D
-Liverpool will push push and murphy will hit the bar but not score.
-89th minute united push forward and FORRLAAAAN will score 3-1 final score

Thats wot i rekon :D

I think it will be 2-1 to Manchester United in a game full of chances. The goals will be fairly scrappy though, as Liverpool's defence will not give an inch to RvN and Ole G. The key to winning this game really lies with the team that scores first. If it is Liverpool, I really do not see them giving up that lead too easily because they will just sit back and defend until United fall asleep. If United go ahead, they will probably continue to press until they get the second goal that will see them play fairly comfortably. Milan Baros and Michael Owen will be a huge threat to Blanc and O'Shea, but in O'Shea we have a classy, quick defender that should be able to mark Baros/Diouf effectively. Laurent Blanc did an admirable job on Owen in this fixture last season, and I hope he repeats that performance.Scholes has been in great form all season, and I think he will take control of the game from midfield, especially if Steven Gerrard is dropped again.
This is how I think United will line up:
GK - Barthez
LB - Silvestre
RB - Brown
CB - O'Shea
CB - Blanc(if he recovers from the injury)
LM - Giggs
RM - Solskjaer
CM - Scholes
CM - Veron
CF - van Nistelrooy
CF - Forlan

Bench:
Ricardo
Fortune
Richardson
Roche
Chadwick

Well, I think it will be 3-0 to Liverpool because they managed to score 2 goals against the all mighty Cottagers! Whoa, any team that can do that can score 3 against United.

But in all seriousness, I'd say 2-1 to United who dominate the whole game.

Bearing in mind that Liverpool are at home, I don't think it will be as easy for Man U as some of you suggest. Perhaps you should show a bit more respect for a team that are higher than you in the league. Anyway, I think it will be a 2-2 draw, and Moaner Ferguson will receive a touchline ban for wrapping cotton wool around his players.

THIS IS IT!

The grudge match of the year betweenn the LFC and the Corporation is just days away. On current form the S.hite of the Mancs should blown away the LFC, but Houllier's giants will blow the Corp's employees 3.1!

its a test of character for both sides.

I honestly cant see Man U winning, because of thier win against newcastle.

However, i think a draw would be semi satisfying for both clubs :)

Liverpool may be in a bad spot, but remember, Man U r Sh!t!!!!
nah but seriously 2-1 Liverpool, goals to Owen, Murphy and Van Nistelrooy. I reckon that man u. will get the early lead, about 10mins in. THEN, Owen will break the ankles of the entire Man U defence by Dribbling the absolute Sh!t out of them. the scoring. Then 70th min Murphy will score from a free, because man u are hacks! and will try to stop owen, but the only way they could is by playing dirty. so anyway 2-1 Liverpool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all I think Fergie will use his over and over again proven to suck 4-5-1 tactics. That leaves RvN upfron alone, against a very capable Liverpool defence. Now with Beckham, Keane and Butt (just to name a few) all out injured, our midfield lacks a proper engine. Someone who keeps running and wins balls for us. Veron, Giggs, Fortune, Neville and Scholes will probably play. Enough creatitivity you'd say, but remember Ruud is up fron alone so he will have a hard time. As for the defence I just pray that Blanc recovers in time, because we definately need the experience there. Alongside Blanc Silvestre, O'Shea and Brown will probably play. If everything happens as said before I can't see us winning. If however we're going to play 4-4-2 I see things different. Hopefully Forlan and Ruud will head the attack then and Phil Neville should warm the bench, leaving Veron and Fortune in the middle. I just hope that we'll win. If we do we'll win 1-2.

Liverpool are a physically superior side. They have been extremely unlucky in the last few games apart from the Fulham one i guess.

ManU have been ordinary. Ok they were good vs Newcastle...but lets not forget that the Reds defense is far superior to Newcastles. Whereas ManUs defense isn't any better than the Magpies...

I predict Liverpool to win 3-1

I say United will win, especially after the match I saw here against Vitesse Thursday for the UEFA.
I wasn't impressed at all, they played some really boring football if you ask me.
Ruud is back from his formcrisis and scored seven times in one week so I say 1-3 with goals from Ruud, Solskjaer and even Scholes. ManU is stronger than Pool right now so they should win this one.
GOOOOOOOOOOOO UNITED!!
RUUD RUUD RUUD RUUD RUUD RUUD :rockman:
