I am excited and nervous about this one. It's a make or break match, with the pressure on, for both sides, to retain maximum potential in winning the champions league, but also to sustain confidence within the two championship contending sides.

It will be a very close match, with both teams having top rated players. Who will prevail and who will win?

Some statistics below to compare the two teams, retrieved from acmilan.com.

MILAN vs. REAL MADRID: ANCELOTTI'S SQUAD
25 November 2002 16:48

MILANELLO - Carlo Ancelotti has named 20 players for tomorrow's evening game against Real Madrid. Here is the list:

KEEPERS: Abbiati, Dida

DEFENDERS: Chamot, Costacurta, Helveg, Kaladze, Maldini, Simic

MIDFIELDERS: Aubameyang (shirt No. 83), Ambrosini, Dalla Bona, Gattuso, Pirlo, Rivaldo, Rui Costa, Seedorf, Serginho

FORWARDS: Inzaghi, Shevchenko, Tomasson.

Unfortunately I couldn't get hold of Reals line up. Who do you think will win? Will the mighty Rossoneri beat Real Madrid?

Tip? Opinions?

BTW I'm tipping Milan to win... ;) .

thats not true.... things are just getting started.... a win would definitely be awesome for either side...but a loss is not exactly 'disastrous' either at this stage.

Milans goals have somewhat dried up in the last few outings though... and Real haven't been at their best either...

but the win over Inter for Milan and the draw at the hellish Camp Nou for Real are positive signs.

2 of Europes most successful teams - head to head.

Real are favorites whereever they go....but not here.

Im tipping Ancelottis men to win pretty convincingly as Real will be without Zidane and Ronaldo (the forme of greater significance than the latter).

I can't wait for the game ///// whatever the result. :)

What ever!! What ever!! I actually actually with u Ice. For a Juve fan, you... ;) . What i meant by make or break though, is that if either side lost, it wouldnt give them really much hope for the championship. Such a loss, would be comprehendable but a great confidence deterrer.

NO! It is a make or break situation, whoever wins is pretty much guaranteed qualification as they are both the two best teams in the group (and maybe even the competition) without a doubt. If Milan win, Real Madrid still have a lifeline because it was on the road, if Milan lose at home then they are not likely to beat Real at all, my guess it that it will be a draw anyhow, although AC Milan could still perhaps pull off an AS Roma home loss and away win against Real - this I have doubts about.

Information
Milan's Last Six Matches: WWLLWW - 12 points
Real Madrid's Last Six Matches: DWWDDD - 10 points (arguably tougher opponents)

Team News
Real Madrid: Del Bosque must decide between McManaman, Celades and Flavio Conceicao to replace the injured Makelele. Flavio is most likely the answer, but the English option can't be excluded. Zidane should return to the line-up after recovering from his back injury, but Ronaldo is still out with a fever. Pavon will continue in place of Hierro.

Milan: Nesta is doubtful, and could be replaced by Costacurta. The other question is whether Carlo Ancelotti will keep the faith with Inzaghi and Serginho, or bring in Shevchenko and Rui Costa. Gattuso is set to feature on the right, meanwhile.

my prediction is very hard to choose either real madrid or ac milan which both teams have very good players and a good team!

it could end up as a nil-nil draw like real madrid versus barcelona!
if ronaldo is playing and is showing top form like he did in this years world cup i would have to say real but if milan is in better form and shape then real's team then i dont have a clue but my prediction is real madrid 1-0 or 2-0 or either milan getting on the scoresheet aswell as real!

Ancelotti already said that Rui Costa will play. I think Milan will win by 2 goals of difference.
What's really pissing me off is that I won't be able to see the game live!:f***: :f***:
