I do agree with the idea above and I add that "tighter marking" should concern the defenders and the defensive midfielders only, to keep the gameplay realistic and playable. It would be a major improvement toward simulation.

Yes, that's exactly what i want, but EA did apsolutely other thing... And that's why i don't like to play that game cause i know that i will always have 62-38 (or more) ball possession and, of course win match, and of course on world class difficulty.

FIX THE ONLINE MATCHUP!!
It's really getting frustrated that, when someone is losing, he just can quit the match. That doesn't count as a loss for him. Nor with the restart match option, or with the exit to windows option you lose the points if you quit. It's really annoying, because if, for example, you score an early goal, your opponent immediatly restarts the match.

- So delete the restart match button for online games
- Make exiting a game count as a loss

i agree about the CPU keeping possession and attempting better build up. i tweaked some of the ini files to encourage more passing and i've seen an improvement, but it still seems like i concede some pretty cheap goals.

If the possession was balanced then it would be realistic, but the A.I just DOESN'T want to keep possession at all! It's like they'll only keep possession (if that!) when it's 90 Mins and their winning or something gay like that.

If only EA could make a patch which could fix a tons of bugs... maby this game will be much better. But, from the day i bought FIFA, sometimes i click on: Check for update, it's allways: THERE IS NO PATCHES AT THIS TIME...

I think they're blinded by their own success. Becuase their game has beaten PES2 in sales and because they really like their game, they think everyone will think like wise, like it's the best and can't be beaten. NOT! :kader:

You don't to feel sorry about what you said. It's true that argentinian league is far more attractive than k league. Good suggestion!

The skills moves (especially the speed burst) are TOO affective and can be used WAY TO FAR to an advantage against the A.I. Even on World Class I find myself bezzing a around the pitch, beating defenders SO easily with players' you'd never DREAM of! :kader:

So here's what is need:

*Bigger pitch.
*Harder to beat defenders and break the defence/midfield down.
*Harder shooting, to direct and get the right height (harder to keep the ball down, just like in real life, ground shots are easier to do, but this doesn't mean easier to beat the keeper, just easier to perform).
*No strange tackle animations here a player is taken down, then magically rises up!
*No 'ghost players' where players' seem to be able to go straight through them, this also goes for the keeper!
*Improved tactical A.I strategies and more tactics for A.I to gain and obtain possession for small/large amounts of time at all kinds of time during the match, but also keeping in the tactics from FIFA 2003.
*More animations.
*Keepers' to dive more and save freekicks on target, but NOT all the time, just a lot more then in FIFA 2003.
*Powerbar speeds for shooting and lobbing to be the same as attribute based freekick and corner, where thw worse the player, the faster the powerbar will increase and the better, the slower.
*Harder to beat goalkeepers.
*Defence to block off more angles for shooting, so getting the shot in is harder.
*Referee's to give direct Red cards, even if it wasn't the last man in defence, like in real life.
*Shooting to have more depth.

Yeah also when you change a player, then I wanna see the player get changed, and a man holding up the number board, or what tha **** it's called.:)

After playing fifa2003 on the xbox I had to rush out and buy it (along with a ps2) as it is vastly improved from fifa 2002 world cup. The only thing is: whenever games are greatly improved like this, there is always a previously great feature that has been left out.

To find that you could no longer have one-two passes was annoying, this is such a great feature of the previous version. I don't care how complicated the button combination has to be, it will be worth it for beaking defences in a unique way.

Secondly, the inability to curl the ball in open play is devastating for the games playability when upgrading from fifa2002 world cup. For shots, crosses and through passes this improves the playability drastically, and hey! There are two buttons on the ps2 pad that aren't being used. L2 and R2! What's going on?

Also bring back the Indoor Stadium, and make it harder to score goals! Please! It is sooooo easy to score, please make it harder.

Also if I mastered the game in World Class Mode, I can then win every game and make it through the season without a loss. Please could you add another difficulty level that if you let's say play with Manchester United. This is your schedule:

vs. Liverpool (H)
vs. Bolton Wanderers (A)
vs. Lazio (A) - Champions League

You could make the Liverpool game a little harder than World Class Mode. The Bolton game is then switched to a much easier mode, maybe to PRO. Up next is Lazio and since it's AWAY, it gets to a difficulty level of World Class + Pro.

You see what I mean? It's a Difficulty mode that picks the appropriate difficulty level for each of your matches.

Another thing that I would like to see fixed is the STATS. There should be way more stats than there are right now.

Could you please leave the option of choosing Champions League let's say and then being able to pick how many players will play. In 2002 you didn't have that, but put it in 2003. It should stay like that.

As posted before, here's my reaction/thought for the net structure:

EA Should indeed inprove the netstructure. How can they achieve that??

Simple!!

Just ask Ubisoft how they managed to create the realistic waving in curtains etc. in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell.

It's awesome too see how curtains (thin and thick) move when you walk upon it, shoot at it, walk through it!! When you walk through it, the curtains stay waving a while. It takes a long time for them to be hanging still again (depending on the type of the curtain).

EA Should use Ubisofts engine for this or they shoud write something like this theirselfes!! Just download the demo of Splinter Cell or play it on the X-Box and you'll see what I mean!!

If the ball reaches the net, the net (depending on the netstructure that is used in the stadium) keeps waving when you score, or is hanging still again in 10 seconds. They can also use this to create a nice wind effect for cornerflags other flags in the stadium and of course the nets in the goal.

I think many of you know what I mean. Didn't know how to explain this one in simple words :P

It should be more like real life, where you could offer money and/or players for the player you want, and according to how good/crappy your offer is you will/wont get that player.

Also, since EA never puts in, and probably never will, any teams from the Americas besides from MLS and Brazil, why not in the transfer screen have a section that just lists all the top players from the Americas, quite a few of them though. Where u scroll in the league selection area in the transfer screen it would just say "The Americas", and the team select area would be blank, and then you would just look for that player in the Americas you want to buy. It doesnt have to say what team they're on now, just his name and his rating and price.

This would be so cool cuz then i could buy players from Argentina like Carlos Tevez or Diego Milito, and players from Mexico such as Jared Borgetti or Jesus Arellano, along with other players from Paraguay, Uruguay and so on.

Wonderful idea for the dificulty setting, but it's not always as simple as that.

I think every team should be able to beat the best, we've all seen Bolton and Blackburn beat Man-u, this shows just how possible it is and how it should be ALWAYS, so when you get used to the game, it shouldn't make it easy to beat the weaker teams, but there should be a difference between say, Bolton and Liverpool. :)

I think that the game should give considerable pressure when playing away, but shouldn't go easy on you when playing at home.

The game needs to be 4X's as hard on World Class! It's just to easy!! :(

Anyways, what I would like to see for next year is better implementation of the freestyle analog stick (I have PS2)
With that I mean it should have more opportunities to be used

ex. When running after a passed ball which you do not have control of yet, you can flick the analog before you get to it
and the player would do something cool like run over the ball to fake out the defender (s) and then come back to the ball

ex. as the player is running with the ball at high speed , he should be able to do moves at that speed, not only when he is jogging.......

I already posted here a few times...and again I would like to stress that it is important to make the goalies less scripted

EA will never truly make a game that gets everything right, so every player, in the world can say: "Yes, I like this game", cause it's not even like that with Pro Evolution Soccer and the like.

What EA should do at the moment is add to the gameplay, keep building up on NOT modes and stadiums, things that look nice and add to authenticy, but the way the game plays itself. Yeah, sure...if the game didn't have real player names and great graphics it wouldn't be no way NEAR as good, but the game is coming very close to great graphics and the time spent on them, I feel, it too much...maybe taking longer to make the game would be a better choice instead of rushing it! :rolleyes:

EA aren't 100% what we want, if they were, then we'd have a fabulous game, that didn't just look awesome, but played it. Instead we got a full finished graphical game, with Beta gameplay!! :(

MOst of the viewer complining fifa2003 is very easy......to play

what i think it is because user have to do nothing to win a match...............and the resons are.......


1. Auto aimiming shots............user do nothing.


2. CPU controlled smart pass............user do noting.


3.CPU controlled acurate crosses.........user do notihing.


4.CPU controlled headers on crosses..........user do nothing.

5.defnders gets the ball for user .............

6.Even through passes are CPU controlled most times.


But it was not the case in WC2002........user have to work very

hard to produce a single good cross on box........

Good question. But, you can't be so hard on EA. What they did in this game is really good improvment. Why? Cause, ball control is much copmlicated, but experienced players like me and Nick Clubman can beat AI on World Class like hell. So, the big thing is AI. EA told that they totally remaked AI, bla, bla, bla, yada, yada, yada... now i can have ball possession like never before. And why? Cause much bugs, not in design, but in that new elements which are not balanced... And why? Cause they testers... do they have testers at all? Ya know what i wann say?
It's ok, English guys made great thing, but it's need to be more... polished.

And, about you Nick.

They should do nothing at all in this new fifa or whatever will it be but boost AI on World Class to be unplayable cause it's hardness and fix all bugs. They could do it in their patch, but about their patch... nothing. Let me tell you guys something:

dunno bout use, but fifa 98(road to world cup) woz an example which should hav been led by! bar the grapphics, it had all the features a game of this time would want let alone 98! The key ones 4 me were: indoor match, every team imaginable(sectioned of in2 europe, south america,concacaf, etc.) also a decent trainin set-up. obvously a grapphics up-date and database up-date added 2 this and its the bomb! period!

p.s a few luxury stuff like hand balls & stretchers wouldn't go a miss. yaaaabooooowww!

I would like to see in FIFa 2004 :

- a better gameplay; this year EA did a good job, but not the enough to knock out PES
- a better IA; i could win very easily every team with any team;
- the option to adapte Stadiums names to every team in the game ; for example: San Siro, in Milan weshould be able to change his name for Estádio das Antas (FC Porto);
- a much better in-game creation centre in all consoles (INCLUDING PLAYSTATION 2, please);
- include more leagues; if there´s a problem of licence, why not make close ones???? Ea could include, for an example, the Portuguese League with fake club names, fake players names and so and so....
if there´s no way to do that, then put the possibility to add new Leagues in the FUTURE CREATION CENTRE( TO ALL CONSOLES, INCLUDING PLAYSTATION 2),and the possibility to include created leagues in the SEASON's mode;

PS : If EA want to get accurate information about all the players that are playing in Portugal, i will give the information they want...i still believe in EA and in FIFA that,soon or latter, will return to the nº 1 footie game!

About stats, that´s my ideas:
attacking attitude, defense attituck, fliyng saves, mental strength,physical strength,ball technique,ball control, shooting power,shooting accuracy,shooting technique,tackling,free-kick capability,penalty accuracy, short pass,long pass, crosses,head accuracy,head strenght,head technique, stamina,resistance to injury and physical damage,discipline,team work ,agressivity and jumping...

with those items in proper stats, we will have a beautiful and autentical footie game...EA THINK ABOUT IT!!!! :D :D

1.more referee faces, be able to make referee faces with the next CC (if it’ll be)

3.if there’s a fault, but no card, You should make a cinematic where the ref goes to the faulty player, and he lays him down, or shows him to stop right now!!!
4.Of course an animation for subs: when the refs shows that „now we have the occasion to make subs, make him enter”
5.if a player gets injured the ref should say that he needs nursing, then the doctors enter the field, the heal him, and the player returnes to the pitch…
6.if we sub the captain, he should give his armband to an other player! (this should be a cinematic)

8.three types of movement: if i push an arrow the player should carry the ball, but not running with it! the fact, that the ball got real phisycs does not mean that the player can start running only with big steps! 11.on the control selector page: if i turn left, i’m with the home team, turn right, away team, and if i go down im with the REFEREE!! He means that if there r two friend you can join ’em as ref! Naturally you r not allowed to give red cards for everybody! To give your judgements a slider will appear on the screen, and if you don’t anticipate in time, the ai will show to continue, no fault! Same procedure when giving cards!
Controls for this option:
Left arrow: judge for home team
Right arrow: judge for away team
Up arrow: yellow card
Down arrow: red card
A: starting whistle
B: ending whistle ( to finish the match… :) )
Accepting offside : numpad 0

Not really, though, I think EA approach football games pretty badly, the way they seem to think the game plays and the way it should play it pretty bad.

That review a while ago, which said a lot of the changes are cosmic (don't really do anything) is true. Caue even though the ball doesn't stick to the players' feet as much, does it really make it hard to control the ball and twist and turn at super speeds? NO!

And even though the passing and shooting has changed, does it really make a great difference to the difficulty of the game? NO! If anything FIFA 2003 is easier to gain possession and get shots on goal then in FIFA 2002! :kader:

So there, that review was more accurate then I thought, the reviewer saw what the game REALLY was before truly playing it. :confused:

You are correct, there are too many repetitions which is why I have created the FIFA WISH LIST. http://www.wishlist.gq.nu/

I basically collect ALL serious requests and make sure there are no duplications. Like the Last WISH LIST I made which EA received, it will be MUCH MUCH more organized and easier to read.

A few things I would like added...

When a player gets injured I hate it when they are automatically replaced by the cpu with someone who does not even play their position eg. Michael Owen playing sweeper for an Injured Sami Hyypia. I would love to be able to pick my own internation swaud from within the game. Better linesmen regarding hand signals, flags etc. Maybe even the odd fight or tension between players after takles are made etc. Another annoyance is the fact that when an injure player is still on the pitch and receives the ball, he can move about freely as if he isn't injured. Liverpool's champion's league shirt would have been nice too. Better pitch textures would be great for leaving marks etc after a sliding tackle. Im not sure if this is already a feature, but drink bottles in the goal mouth, players warming up on the side line. That just about does it for now, anything else i have thought of has already been posted, and if any of the above is already wished for, i apologise hehe.

4)more responsive controls, how many times have you played a blinding 50 yard ball only for the receiving player to balls it up without you actually pressing any buttons. One annoying thing I remember about fifa 2003 is the fact that whenever you press F1 it is always the home team which is selected for team management. It would be a lot easier if you would just be taken straight to the team management of the side you selected. More to come i'm sure...

- we really need it... I still havent figured out a way to scored on corner kicks. I wanna practice shoots, free kicks etc. Get it back !!!

2) Camera views
- I play end to end... makes it so nice to pass through balls. But if I wanna make a cross it is impossible to use that... I can NEVER see the players in the center. So if u could change the angle a bit so u actually could see from the corner kick area to the back of the goal it would be nice. Crossing and through balls at the same time - woohoo !!!

3) Heading
- hmm kinda sucks... but actually it isnt as bad as people says.

4) Online gaming !!!
- ARGH !!! I buy this game to play online and of course I cant get the match maker or what ever it is called to work :( but what really would be nice was a server side of fifa ! SERVER SIDE !!! So people could just connect like we know it in Counter Strike... Also... maybe 2 on 2s would be nice or else it is just me who hasnt figured it out yet. But please make online gaming better!!!

- the delay from when u press the fire buton and untill the guy shots is terrible :( Also... it sucks that u can just make a small shot when u are alone with the goal keeper and then u score. Lobs should be more efective or dribling. Not just a lame shot.

6) Customize buttons
- I wanna be able to deside what buttons should do what. E.g. I change to cam view 8 when Im at the back line for crosses :P Really lame and I screw up all the time but sometimes it actually works. It would be nice if I could do that on ctrl or some thing... EVERYTHING SHOULD BE UP TO THE PLAYER !!!!

nope, I doubt this will happen, FIFA 2004 will be on the same wave length as 2003, but with a CC, updated rosters, more unique playing styles, slightly improved A.I, STILL easy gameplay and a few more things to dissapoint us all! :kader:

Many of us want a more "realistic" gameplay. What does it mean in practice? For me, a realistic fifa 2003 (what I would like to find in fifa 2004) mean :
- using Fifakulte patch for cmn/ini file
- using Breamster patch for cmn/be/Aicpu file
- never using freestyle play, because it is made for arcade. Without freestyle, you have to use breakthrough passes, place the best players on the wings...
Fifa 2003 can be very realistic , "Pro evolution like" when you choose these options. I think fifa 2004 could have a very good gameplay on this basis.

Every player should have his own pair of boots.The number of boots should be unlimited,i mean every player can have a different boot.And i think EA should bet rid of that choppy boot structure and have an extra texture for the boots ''attached'' to the face/body texture or seperated for each player!
all of you remembetr that in fifa 2002 there was only texture for the faces and the headshapes could be edited
well in fifa 2003 there is more on the texture for each player like hands,feet,eyes etc.There could be an additional texture for the boots attached to the main texture or just importd in the fsh file.

there should be textures of both boots,left and right, front tex rear tex,upper tex,and bottom tex for each boot.The left and the right tex for each boot should have the same size,not as it is now.

i really feel the å needs to be promoted!!

The way in which a player can get the ball and work with it is far to easy. This builds up a huge advantage as a player is going to use many skills to beat the A.I, but the A.I is slow at building up play and thinking fast. It doesn't seem logical to give the player so much freedom with passing and skills to be pulled of at ease with no problems and to speed burst around at 100Mph, it just feels like the A.I is at a point of a HUGE disadvantage from the player and the A.I only seems to really kick-in when they're 1-0 down, or just loosing and it's coming near the end of the match. If they played that furious throughout the whole game it'd be frantic and exciting and to make them even crazier when they're a goal down would be such an adrenaline rush! :rockman:

I would like it so players' have many more attributes and although this will have been said in this thread before, let me go into more detail, please. :)

*The attributes should affect a team to an extent where one team will feel different to the other, as the players' have a much bigger affect, depending on what players' they have and how the team works to build-up play, defend, attack, etc.

*Players' that have a bad passing rating, shouldn't just have slower passing, but not be very good at controlling an in-coming pass and to deliver one, as many things come together to give you one, BAD, attribute. E.G. If a player has bad balance, then his heading shouldn't be great, nor control for skills, so more logic in the attributes would be welcome.

*If a player gets injured, they might be still able to play, just like in real life and it should be the players' choice to see what kind of injury the player has picked up and to see if he stays on or not. e.g. A twisted foot at a certain level (ok, or bad) could be looked at properly on a specific screen for team injuries and then the player can choose to keep him playing or have him substituted, just like in real life. Something like a broken foot will obviously be a sub straight away and no choice will be given, expect a pop-up screen informing the player of the injury and asking them to sub, or go to Team Management, like FIFA 2002 and 2003.

That's what I feel about this.

Shooting: I am always trying to find ways to improve the shooting, playing FIFA 2003 gives a feel of easiness in the shooting area. The shooting is too easy to direct, I've said this before, but it just has to be mentioned again to some detail:

*If a player, ANY player gets the ball, then it will be hard to direct, NO MATTER what they're level for shooting is, it should still be hard to execute a great goal (top corner, chip, curler), but that shouldn't mean it's hard to get it in the bottom corner, but SHOULD be hard to get it in the bottom corner with POWER and even curl to really beat the keeper, or to give a better chance of beating them. Curling the ball should be brought back, but to curl the ball should be like in Pro Evolution Soccer! I feel very strongly about this, as PES gives a great feeling of where and how the player would like to curl the ball and this is great!! :)

I'm not a big fan of any shooting system that's been in a FIFA game, it's always been too easy to direct and un-balanced. :( Although EA aim their game at a younger audience, I feel this is a let down, as many more older gamers' will buy the game and not little kids. Lets leave the kid game like Sonic and Mario shall we? ;) Football’s a MANS/WOMENS, not a BOYS/GIRLS game! Basically, if pro football consisted of little children, then it’d be a joke. So why aim a game full of pro footballer’s at little children? 3+? COME ON!

I have this game just 1 day but this is my list

*Cpu teammates need to run in the depth by themselfs more. In fifa worldcup 2002 this was much better. In 2003 the cpu teammates stand more in the way, they dont make themselfs free. I first have to press a button, whats becomes annoying in a while.

*I cant manage to make a header. Since i have the game i never managed to make a header. Its just very annoying and becomes one sided when you always lose the air duels in mid field. I dont even push the buttons anymore because i know ill never win the duel.

*Crosses in the box always end up by a defender. This is because the header system is very weird or isnt there? The same is with corners. Also corners of the cpu opponents are always the same. The keeper of my team always seem to stomp the ball away.

Yeah I thought of another thing. Well, when you start a friendly match for example, FIFA 2004 should let you choose the importance of the match. If you are setting up a tournament with your friends, but couldn't do it over "Create Tournament" mode, you should be able to choose from 5 levels of importance.

The lowest one could be: "Just a Game" and the Highest could be: "World Cup Final Important."

A lot of big lists, so I may repeat some but I think I have something that no-one has said.

-Header possible everytime (not only when there's opp. near you) (and make it easier, for God's sake)

-No long animations; I hate when my player takes the ball and uses up to two seconds doing something crazy with the ball so the opponent gets it.

-More specs: You can't deal with about 10 specs per player. Eg, where's shot accuracy (Mendieta shot 8 eh... Maybe 8 for shot power but 10 for accuracy), is crossing included in passing? Not a good idea. There's speed yes, but where's agility? A little list for new ones: shot accuracy, crossing, agility, dribbling, balance, aggression

-Add MANY lines to the commentators, it's irritating to hear the same line 15 times a match.

-May sound childish, but I want the special moves.

-More complicated control system: new buttons needed for header (so the computer doesn't try to decide for you and make the wrong decision), a dribbling key that you can actually use with PC

-Make it a football game. Not some silly backyard footy with big names.

-I start a game with Barca. I see that first team players De Boer, Iniesta and Valdes are missing. Also it bothers me that the game automatically replaces missing player with some player like Dani in Barca. WTF I want Dani for if I'm missing a back??

-Formations. Dissappointing thing in FIFA03, why not have a freely selectable formations?

-Keeper intelligency. I don't want to see my keeper to run to the limits of the box when attack comes.

-Better crosses in free kicks

-Better AI in simulated games. Valencia should not be 8th, and Osasuna shouldn't be 2nd.

-Different shooting system in free kicks. The one there's now is ridiculously easy. I score 9/10 free kicks because you only have to hit the green zone. Maybe something where you have a short (like 5m in the field) arrow which you use to aim, and the rest is done with the ball, and the shot power would be given same way as in the game normally; ie pressing the shot button down. And the keepers should save some of the free kicks too.

1) Substitute cinematicswith the guy who holds up that sign when a sub comes on and off

2) The guy holding up the sign hat tells the players how much time is left

This is not a very good idea, cause it would be too much money to spend... DVD ROMs on PC's r still not optimal solution for gamers. When they will be, it could be done. Now, not...

but what i'd like to see are:

Player edit features - the ability to create your own players is a must - also to adjust the skill level of the players, depending on their performances.
Training - it'd be nice to perfect those headers, overhead kicks, free-kicks, etc - but NO annoying music like ISS2. If it was like Prov Evo training it'd be a lot better.

On my Gamecube, the goalie rush is a little bit too quick and i'd expect to fire off a shot much quicker - but instead the striker winds up for a shot while the shot meter is powering and the goalie is able to take it off my feet...

Also for the gamecube version, i'd like those faces cleaned up a bit - most have white faces.

I believe in more gameplay depth and less bugs. :) I've already stated in more detail in past posts.

It seems people mention gameplay improvements, but EA aren't physic, so we have to go into more detail to get what we really want.

TO EVERYONE:

Do you really think EA just go:

"This would be a nice idea, f*ck it, it's going in"!

They go though numerous stages and testing, analysis, implementing the ideas, it's not simply:

"Improve the gameplay please, cause graphics are already great, ROCK ON".

So, if we want a better game, we have to really go into detail with our ideas, otherwise, we'll all be disappointed again after a month of playing and mastering the game! :(

I haven't really talked about gameplay depth because it seems fairly good. I'm on about extra features. More teams, edit features. Those are a must for an update. Of course the play needs tweaking (every game update does) but i'm talking about extra stuff, not so much the passing or shooting.

Well everyone what about 2003. Have a good think about what a great game ea have created in such a small time so i would like to congratulate EA Sports on that. Now to the topic, FIFA 2004. After everyone finishes 2003 and gets bored of it this topic will be one that will heat up so what a great time to express what i reckon every soccer gamer needs in the next Fifa. Ready EA?
1.What is the use of having a soccer game when you can't control the keeper in those tight situations where it is one on one.
2. Training mode which you will hear from everyone is a must in the next edition of FIFA. This is where you can extend on realism EA. What you can do is when what ever team is training, such as Man U you can try to put in Man U's training gear and bibs etc. I don't really care if ea adds that special part to the game but I am happy just as long as there is the much needed TRAINING MODE!
3. I know many people don't care about this team but I dor 1 would hav to say what happened to Japan? Okay there may be Nakata, Inamoto and Ono in the game but this team is a must. I also know about rights and all that stuff but when it is such a good team such as Holland you have to do you're best to get them into the game. As the moto says "EA Sports it's in the game"

You must be able to move your players when the opposing team takes freekicks, currently they just freeze.

Make the freekicks more flexible: ability to curve the ball from any set piece, make players take runs.

Every time the home team gets the ball first - that should be random.

Every time CPU starts from the centre circle they do exactly the same thing - forward tries to take on my whole team. That never happens in real life.

When the keeper saves a shot there is an animation period(he gets up , waves at the defenders etc.) and you dont control him.
That is really annoying especially if you are losing and running out of time.

ONE BIG SOLUTION TO ALL YOUR PROBLEMS.
Hire a couple of editors and patchmakers from the online community. Ariel, Breamster etc.

Erm, there are some great editors and program creators in this community, but I doubt they could sit at EAC without no training whatsoever and make FIFA! -> player models: long sleeves, short sleeves, sleeveless maybe different collars[high-low; O or V]

-> all weather for any stadium - sunny, cloudy, evening, night, rain, snow, sleet, mud, fog...[no sunset!!! :mad:]

well, hopefully its the time that EA stop amending the graphics, cause right now the graphics are SPOT ON. so hopefully that will mean they spend more time working on gameplay and importing more cinematics. here's some bits I'd like to see in the game

1.list of scorers on the score display (at bottom of screen)
2. cinematics of substitutions
3. Cinematics of the manager/coach jumping up and putting his heads to his hands when the team miss a shot (like a replay) or him shaking his fist at his team, something like that.
4. fix the bugs :) obviously
5. have a random fixture list each season in the game if I remember correctly its identical every year (apart from teams relegated and promoted)
6. Importing more teams in the game from 2nd divisions...
7. the cool feature that was in World Cup 98 (I think) where you were told if I goal went in at another game (that was great!) you could see when goals went in in other games
8. all weather conditions again (I want to play in the snow!)
9. Cinematics of pushing and shoving of players, and refeering calling them over and having a word, or yellow carding.
10. Barnet FC (come on you bees!)
11. better crowds (I noticed they jump around when watching replays of a goal they are already celebrating the goal before it goes in on a replay
12. injuries to players and having physio run on etc...
13. the free kick style control on corners
14. goalkeepers being able to get sent off....
15. a better transfer system (as someone else suggested getting offers from other clubs for players and having a transfer market with players for sale)

long list, would be happy if a 1/3 of it were added.

as for the people that want "this team, and that league" well, I dunno what you think, seems that they have to include every league in the darn world to make people happy (mongolian league anyone??) which is not possible,

oh and 16. allow better editing so the patchmakers can patch like they used to and please the people from turkey, holland and portugal who dont have leagues added originally!

17. ditch Creation Centre, and just make a EDITOR, that allows editing on everything

and finally, number 18 - allow a max of 24 clubs in a league (so someone can make a division 1 patch PROPERLY! in future fifa's)

Well said and point 31* is VERY true, if I go into the PES forum now I see members that don't post here anymore, as they've played PES and loved the gameplay and literally told EA to go f* themselves. I think that FIFA 2004 will fix the heading and be more difficult, but instead of actually causing more bugs, they'll just add some gameplay things like the horrid auto clearances to really piss us all off!

Some things I wish they would add to Fifa 2004 would be to:

1.To make it more realistic like say a player just made a very long run or is very tired make it showing him clean his head with his shirt , to make it have the defenders pulling on the forwards shirts and going slower than him the defenders arent that fast. Change the throught button bass somewhere else. USE ALL BUTTONS. You guys dont use L2 and R2 and L1. You could use those for actual moves when you want to do them and do something else with the right analog control(pretty cool though).
2. ALso the problem with ea sports from other companies is they always show the same player movies or animations before a game or after. You got to make it different.

3. Also dont use the rest of the world section and replace it with the teams in those leagues like use the dutch and portuguese league. ANd the second division teams just make another section for them. BRING BACK THE CLASSIC TEAMS! In fifa 2000 the classic teams were great. But use all the great player and like evry year like in madden u select a team and u can choose the current team or the year they were very good. Use all the good players Cruyff Van Basten Pele Maradona Banks Becknebauer Eusebio Daglish etc.

Bring back the creation centre and make it more so were like almost a stylist for the team. So we choose the boots and the shorts and the shirt. Some players wear gloves on cold days show it!Like let us pick long sleeve or short sleeve and say some players use theyre shirt not tucked in do it like that. Make more cleats maybe ask the big brands like Adidas and Nike if u can use them becuz there are many brilliant boots now. Maybe the boot can effect the way they play(further on).put more faces have people in ur studio research like one league so u have all the sirts correctly and faces and while theyre there they can see the players.
Do this:In Madden and Nba Live players retire and get worse over the years and actually have contracts and they sometimes reject them. Say a very young player on a dutch or portugeuse team such as ibrahomovic or simao are like an average 81 overall and get better for the team then u can show that the other big teams are interested such as real madrid or manchester. Then after they would play for the big teams and get better their rating would get better like from an 81 to a 90 and if they get worse theyll lose skill in theyre attributes and go from a 81 to a 72. Also sometimes maybe on a special day have them wear special or retro old jerseys.

Also make a little manager style in one part of the game. SO we can buy things for players on the team or for the team if we get money from winning tournaments. SO they can get like the newest or best boot. Maybe theyll have a bad boot and it can effect theyre shooting.
Make it so we can see the coaches yelling at the players and the coachers chering.More celebrations. PUT THE TRAINING MODE BACK IN!!!so i can practice the free kicks. Make the pelaty shots better and look at world cup 2002 it so great make it more like that so you can out the spin on the ball with out taking a free kick and the players are bigger. Dont always make the ball go 2 the side of the net IT IS SO ANNOYING. I wanna score some goals from 30 yds out.
Try to include nutmegs and maybe have the other player smile or get madder or embarassed. ALso make the freestyle control easier to do moves that kick gets annoying. make it like IF U PRESS L2 IT IS FREESTYLE CONTROL MOVES ONLY AND If u press it again IT WILL DO THE KICK TO MAKE UR MOMENTUM BETTER. MAke the right analog stick more like in nba live 2003. Make it so like maybe a crossover in nba live is like a step over in fifa just maybe move it to the right and maybe for a better move or a nutmeg u have to do a combination with the right analog stick.
ALso include national team call ups for those good young players. Maybe if we win a lot of things we cann unlock videos of games or goals. Maybe if we are a coach in a season and come in 7th place with arsenal we get fired and have to find a job as a manager somewhere else in fifa. SCOUT EVERY PLAYER SEE HOW GOOD PLAYERS ARE GIVE PLAYERS ON SOME SEMI POPULAR TEAMS GOOD RATINGS 2. ALso include some new stadiums make MORE CROWD INTERACTION.Not just a wall of THINGS going up and down.NO more patches to get the extra stuff from next year SOme people dont use the pc too much and its better on ps2 or xbox.maybe have a little training thing be4 the game where U have to do drills and some fans ask for autographs and stuff. Make the free kicks more of curves not always bullets. ILL COME BACK WITH MORE LATER.

I definately want a creation center added, and also a way to get some players on International teams, like I will want Bati on Argentina but he is retired, so I would like to be able to get him from Inter.

This bug is simply terrible!!!
It's the Gk bug, the goalkeeper is stuck next to the goal, and when the striker scores, the goalkeeper finally moves....

yeap ... i had the keeper stuck on the post and just watch then opponent bring the ball in ... :(

anotehr thing i suggest is ... why don't we have a more realistic foul? (6)

such as kicking the player and as i know header never foul (in real game, foul on header is normal) ... and how about scolding the referee then get a red card? :evil:

by the way ... another serious bug is ... when i pass the ball ... the ball slip through my player ... the opponent doesn't seems to get the ball ... instead it waited for my player to "walk" over to the ball ...

they should have referee subsitutions,
diving,
handballs,
postponed matches,
other teams buying and selling players i.e you recieve offers for players,
stretches for injured players and those little buggies they have in italy,
streakers!!!!!!!(lol)
weather that changes during the match so it might stop raining or and become sunny,
linesmen that actually work rather than ones that stick the flag up in any direction when the ball goes out,
flat balls and replacement balls,
4th official that checks subs,
it should tell you how long to be held up and the electronic boards should be held up

Sorry to say this but those points are rather minor (go to a match to see those;) ), I will just be glad if EA fix the main probs - chopiness, heading, curl, AI etc.

I don't think FIFA 2004 will be any different to FIA 2003 except for graphical enhancements to be honest. If anything the game will be even more scripted. Let's face it, look how simple the game is now with less formations etc. The game is aimed at the under-10's who can't tell the difference between scripted and real gameplay.

EA Sports big market is kids who are blown away by great graphics and don't care about great gameplay. Oh, and people who have nothing better to do than edit graphics, boots, stadiums, faces, etc. rather than actually play the game.
