Winamp3 wouldnt add my songs from my computer so i uninstalled it - the version before that one was better

yeah i installed winamp 3 and all i got was the sound oof a dying cat. So I uninstalled all the Winamps, downloaded Jet Audio and havn't looked back, the sound is way better imo.

yeah I don't have a problem with Winamp in general, just winamp 3. I have my PC hooked up to my stereo, ever since I installed a dvd drive on the pc, and I thought i would try all the different media players available. And for my ears anyway, Jet Audio beat Winamp in the sound stakes. Especially when it came to bass sound, winamp didn't seem to handle it as well, and i like the deep bass thud. With winamp I always seemed to get this hiss in the background, as well as a sort of screechy sound on mp3's that have a low bitrate. It just seemed Jet Audio did a better job of filtering it out.

It might have something to do with using the stereo amp though cos it probably picks up alot more things than pc speakers (if thats what you are using).

I had Winamp but when i reformated my comp i didnt feel a need to reinstall it i just use the player that came with kazaa.......................not the best thing to listen to music to but..................well i might try winamp again thanks to the pluging Kazaa showed.Ill also try that song kader has showed in winamp.Maybe jet audio cuz i like lots of base.

The thing with Jet Audio though is that it comes with adware. So you will want to do a couple of things first.
1. If you have zonealarm, when Jet Audio asks for permission to access the internet, check the box and select 'NO'.
2. If you have Lavasoft Ad-Aware installed, run it after you have installed Jet Audio, and that will remove the adware.

Then you have a 'safe' version. It has a movie player as well that is better than Windows Media Player, so its all good.

I have this cool plug-in, but it's for WMP and I don't even remember where I got it. Anyway, it features spiderman doing his thing on a fully detailed map of a couple NYC zones.(H)

I dont have any problems with winamp when it comes to music quality, its just that i hate Winamp 3... nothing to do with how it plays music though.

it's a pretty usefull proggie i've used it awile ago back in my Winamp 2 days but since i got Winamp 3 i didn't really need that anymore especially the sound Winamp 3 produces on my 5.1 Surround Sound speakers :)

yeah,...for me its all about functionality and Winamp3 isnt the least bit functional compared to its predecessor.

i have both 2 and 3 on my box but NEVER use 3......(just for cool screenshots :D )

its really good and increses the quality of music a thousandfold.

Its skinnable and u can get it to match your existing winamp skin if your skilled enough to make a skin.....or otherwise there are plenty of skins available to match some popular winamp skins)
