I've finally signed the highly recomended Sigporsson, I've had him in my starting line-up for 5-6 games now and he hasn't produced at all, maybe I'm not using him properly.....what I'd like to know is what's the best way to get the most out of him.

Is he better as a lone striker, or partnered?

What type of training should I put him through, I got him on "tactics" and "shooting", should there be anything else?

Is it just too early for me to expect a lot from him, will the goals just come with time?

Like most players, Andri is best when paired with others of his quality.

I would NOT recommend placing him as a lone striker because he is not strong enough.

Try putting him in a shooting program for a few weeks and let him play a few games in the reserves. Sooner or later he will develop. Then I guarantee a 20+ goal season. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

I had thought of putting him in the reserves but I was worried his morale would drop if I took him out of the first team, but I'll give that a try, thanks.

Try to place him with the bigger players! I paired him with Bierhoff. Sigporsson now has only 6 goals but Bierhoff has 45!!!! He won't do very good the first season. Don't always start him. Play him 2 games and them hold him out for 1 game.

Also, wait and keep him for about 2 years, then after that he can't stop scoring goals, its like an addiction for him.... http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif

In my game Sigporsson has a better strike rate than Saviola, and hardly ever goes into mini-slumps like Saviola! Andri's just goal scoring machine - stick with him and the goals will come, and once they do, they won't stop until he retires!

Funny note: My brother was happy to have signed him when he played Porto, and yes he scord a bunch of goals, but the funny thing was that in the middle of the season he broke his leg and was out for 18 months.. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
