Gotta say, I was sad that Boca didnt win it but....Independiente deserved it. They have a GREAT team are Im sure they'll do great at the Copa Libertadores.
I watched the game and beating San Lorenzo 3-0 at visitor (the soon to be Sudamericana Champs) is really proving something.
Like 4 players were called into the Argentinian national team.
Congratz to Avellaneda y los Rojos.

Yeah, big congrats to Independiente for their championship! I'm a big fan of Insua, great player!

Congrats Independiente!
Los Rojos are the only other team in Argentina I don't mind winning the title. Boca had so much hope and it ALL got pissed in the toilet last week 4 minutes away from the end of the game!:rockman:
Aguante River y Independiente!!
I think it's a shame some of the independiente players will be leaving. It'll make their team a lot weaker next tournament, especially with the likely absence of Gabriel Milito next tournament. He's the best defender in the country.
EDIT: As part of their celebration next weekend Independiente have invited Peņarol of Montevideo, Uruguay to play in Avellaneda. Peņarol are going through a very good moment and should provide some tough competition.

i must say i dunno much about argentinian club football. but i'm curious to know how independiente are doing so well without forlan who used to score a truckload of goals for them and then also independiente's position (i heard) wasn't gr8 when they had forlan. am i all wrong??
maybe all my facts rare wrong. kindly throw some light.

It's simple really, Towards the end of last tournament they brought Americo Gallego in as the coach.
In the offseason Gallego demanded new players. In total, Independiente bought 11 (yes 11) new players for the club. This pretty much changed the look of the entire team and took them from the bottom of the table to first in the table.
