I know he played for galatasaray until 2000 and then the 2000-2001 season he played for inter and then parma, but i don't think he played anywhere this season because i didn't see him in the parma line up.

well they wil get him for free from Parma .. i think he was actually a free agent when he signed for rovers.. because it aint in the WIndow ... so the only money they are paying him is wages .. what is it with blackburn and has been strikers ? Cole, Yorke and now sukur ?

He was actually playing on Parma on loan from Inter Milan.

But his contract with Inter ended before the WC and so he was a free agent.

I have no idea why he would leave Galatasary after he had that superb season helping them to win the UEFA Cup.

Especially with a move to Italy, where he once played for Torino and didnt do that well.

The only reason I can think of was for the money, Inter have some very very deep pockets.

Yeah Sukur has been on a downer lately.He can also be very good as seen during the world cup when he scored that goal against korea in the 2nd minute.

I dun really believe that Blackburn needs him I think they have enough quality forwards they should buy a defender or something.

We can't say he'll be successful or not.The time will show us because he's a very sensitive one.If he doesn't play, his morale will fall.But It has no change for Turkish national team, as Turkey has better strikers than him: nihat kahveci(22),ilhan mansýz (27),serhat akýn (21),tuncay þanlý(20 and this guy is going to be the best in europe,believe me).Hakan Þükür is no legend anymore.
