This is 2000 now and the games have imroved (quite a lot as well)

Ahh...I guess you have to be a fan of English football. I for noe (along with a lot of others) was really dissapointed with EPL Stars...the controls were all screwy, etc....
So, a lot of us are excited to get POTD in order to play the EPL in all its splendor.

OK, I know FIFA98 isn't a "great" ( if there ever will be ) football game but FIFA2000 should be so much better (you would hope ) then 98, but I belive it isn't.I even think the gameplay is worse...in 98 you can get passed the player with nice smooth moves without doing the 180-spin...

..and all the players isn't running as fast like Maurice Green...and able to score longrange goals...

I wonder how EA thinks ( if they think, I doubt..)...I meen, suddenly they decides : "Well longrange shoots are too unrealistic, lets make it more like a pinball game with more speed and action!!" and the board applauds this nut's idea who never has been to a footbal game in his entire life...

Well, that is MY opinion and I don't forcing anyone to think the same...to get that clear...

In regard to the game Premier League Allstars, i was in the same frame of mind as many more players, when i first played it i hated the sight of it, four days ago i decided to check it out again and take a look at the stadiums in there, mmm, not too bad, then i started to poke around in the game and actually play it for a while, once you get used to the control system and start to pick up merit stars to configure the players, this game really comes to life, i would now rate it as the most authentic and realistic football game to date, it is truly excellent, so far i am into the half way point in the Premiership and into the semi finals of the Cup, and picking up merit stars on a game to game basis, i don't really know at this stage if its the euro cup or what, i have only played German teams so far, give it another try and you could be very surprised at the quallity of this football game...another tip is to edit the pitches and tone down the colours, they look much better once you have re touched them up...the original pitches are over textured and look putrid...that was one of the main reasons that players didn't really take up on this game..well that was my excuse anyway..and of course i was trying to use the same moves as are in the Fifa 99/2000 series and getting no where at all... http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
