Yes I am actually, both that and Total Soccer are what I play when I need a soccer fix (and CM99/00). I think Fifa98 RTWC was the best Fifa game, it had the pace and goal scoring just right.

I haven't played it for a while - I think I'm one of the only ones who likes Fifa 2000. I haven't played Fifa 99 yet and I'm considering buying it. But back to RTWC98 - I wish people were still making patches for it to make it up to date. I don't have the time or resources to do so. Is anyone still making patches for it?

i play FA Premier League Manager 2000, CM 99/00, and Premier Manager 99 lately. I wait for fed2000 to come out.

although i played fifa 98 rtwc about a month ago. the stupidiest thing in that game is that some real skilless international teams qualify for the world cup, like Antigua, Somalia, Maldives, India, Vanuatu, Quatar. I love indoor mode too.

happy new year, every one!!!!!!

Russian I agree about your observation, I actually had teams like Kazakhstan or Togo winning the world cup in that game after I got knocked out of 1st round in the WC.

I just got the game from a friend of mine, and I'm enjoying it, although it seems a bit slow.
At least in this game the players really score in front of the keeper, who doesn't defend balls as if it was in a handball game, like in Fifa99.
But is it much slower than Fifa2000, or is that my impression?

Have a nice year and hollidays!

hey i guess that slower what you mean is true. I haven't play the game on my pc (yet), but that it is slower makes the footballgame more realistic and cool. cos people r always complaining about the speed in fifa99/2000. In my opnion it goes indeed too fast. Im thinking about buying fifa98, but it's an old version and i have fifa2000 and that isnt a bad game though...
with the speed patch it's alright. anyway most people do think fifa98 is the best fifa ever. I hope that EA will take fifa98 as an good example to create further versions of these great series. Oh 1 tip: FIFA IS A SOCCER GAME AND THAT HAS TO BE CREATED BY PEOPLE WHO KNOW A LOT ABOUT SOCCER SO HOW CAN THEY EVEN THINK ABOUT CREATING IT IN CANADA???? UNBELIEVABLE...
