Schmeichel is definitely not as good as he was in 1992, but he is still (one of) the best in the world.

Also, You have to consider the mental state and their moral. Countries like France, England, Sweden, Italy, Romania and others struggled to get in. Denmarks past three games defeated Italy 3-2 in Rome then bashed up Israel 5-0 and 3-0.

I don't think Denmark are able to repeate the success of 1992... and they no longer have the Laudrup brothers (in 92 Brian played, although Michael had a few problems with the coach, R.M.Nielsen) Is Schmeichel as good as he was in 92? Plus, I don't think Denmark will be underestimated like Holland and Germany did in 92...
