Seeing as I already have read all the books, ye can't spoil it. But, anyway, I've just ordered tickets for tomorrow, but if anyone has seen it feel free to post your opinions.

I didnt see the moive but i did read the book but ill tell you this much it was AMAZING a wonderfull read.I heard the Moive follows the book closely and from the previews ive seen it does so it cant be that bad.

Right after school at 2:40 racing towards the theater with printed tickets in hand. ;) Movie starts at 4. I'm guessing despite it being a Thursday night and only four o'clock (but is the bargain show) it still will busy--you think? I'm in the LOTR mood now--downloaded good old music (my favorite is Concerning Hobbits--I need the soundtrack) and The Fellowship DVD is playing in the backround.

I've become a nut. After reading the series--it's awesome. Just think four months ago I knew nothing about the series and hadn't even seen the Fellowship.

Reading the book was much more exciting

I ain't a bit excited bout' the next release coz' i found the first movie ridculous , in that way harry potter movie was much better

no no the harry potter moive took the "magic" away fromt he book the book was so much better.

Crap that reminds me i have an overdue harry potter book damn two weeks late...........im afraid to go back there now they will be so sad.........:(

Yes i thought they would screw up on treebeard but they did an amazing job on him just like in the book.

shelob is not in this movie. I was waiting for her to appear as you Shinji were talking about her but she didnt.
I guess its ok so they keep her for next years intead of showing all CGIs on this one

Yea, the ending was disappointing. They could have had a much better cliff-hanger.

Great animation, incredible battles, a great movie, but unfortunatley they altered the story a bit to suit the masses. Oh well.

This movie has inspired me, that and when I got home I got a DEJECTION (rejection) letter from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

So, I'm changing it up. I don't think I really want to be a journalist. Something that has always interested me with all these ideas and scenes I see in my head, would be a major in Film or Screenwriting. I have completely changed the direction of my college search and am looking toward Boston, MA to Emerson College. Amazing how one night it can change, although at sometimes I really said I wanted to do something with movies because of all these ideas I envision. I just imagine the shot, the music, the words.

yeah, you're right ahmed, I was wondering the same thing since she doesn't appear until well after the battle of helms deep...but I was reading an article about the movie and tehy spoke about the effects used on Shelob, but I guess they must have been talking about 'return of the king'....I did see a photo of shelob in a book about the trilogy. It was kind of a dark photo with lots of webs in the way, but shelob did look pretty cool.

I still think the thing with the ring situation and all is a much better ending for The Two Towers. If you haven't read the book you don't know what I'm talking about. ;)

I had a chance to see the moive yesterday (friday) with some freinds but i couldnt:( :(.

I really wanna see treebeard though i think he is one of the best characters in the second book.I cant wait till the 3rd book is made into a moive there will be so many creatures and effect it will blow your mind.


BTW i dont think they will make a moive for the Hobbit it is too drawn out not anoff action for mall rats i think.

the two towers soundtrack is awesome and the helms deep music is gr8!! The music is on that trailer that is 3 mins long and you can get it off the website www.thetwotowers.com i cant wait to see the movie but im in perth so i wont come out till 26 december.

Has anyone here seen the movies Peter Jackson made BEFORE Lord of the Rings? The guy is made for life now, so I am hoping he returns to the type of films that he used to make. Don't get me wrong, I like LOTR, but I am also eager to see him do his own projects again.

yeah I have known a few of them, mostly ex g/f's :rolleyes: but if you get the chance check out Bad Taste. It is a really low budget splatter film, interesting not for the splatter but for the low budget nature. He got his mates to help him out for nothing basically, and the credits have 'Peter Jackson' doing almost everything. Plus he acts in the film (he makes a cameo in all his films) as a really crazy psycho alien guy. But it is a laugh, to see where he has come from.

Heavenly Creatures was also great, true storyline also.

Ok, here are my thoughts, I thought there were too many changes in the plot from the books. Shelob SHOULD have been in the second one because if you people remember the Two Towers ends with Frodo sleeping.

Yeah man, Gollum was amazing! Not only was he amazing looking in that you could hardly tell he was computer generated, but the voice acting was incredible!

Funny enough: I caught the end of a show on the making of LOTR:TTT, and saw the end of a part about the making of Gollum and the guy who played gollum (the movments).

I went to see it a few evenings ago. I've also seen the first movie and I didn't rate it as high ag everyone else did. It wasn't one of the geratest movies ever looking at the story and the plot. There are better movies to see if you're looking for a good story. However part one was great entertainment, lovely images and a nice fanatsy story which was good and easy to watch, you didn't have to think, just sit and enjoy the ride.

The second film is just like that, though I find that it really is a "number 2" movie. It's a film that is between two films, and you sense that troughout the enitire film. Before the break, the movie is about the three groups going to Sauron and their feelings and stories. In this part they're also building up the big battle at helmsdeep. After the break the battle is there and after that the film slowly goes to it's open end.

It was a night of lovely entertainment again, beautufully filmed and acted, it was a good watch, only the first pasrt was a bit slow. There's also a lot more humor in this part I thought, the dwarf dude is funny. Again I loved Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn, it's just too bad that Boromir, played by Season Bean in the first part wasn't there anymore. Anyway, go see this movie, it's a night of good entertainment, good story and some amazing views of New Zealand.

i just went to watch it last night.. and i must admit that the second episode is much more better then the first one... no i'm eager to watch the 3rd... :o

I read that the third movie is gonna be around 3:30 hs and thats gonna have all that peter wants (new line promised not to cut much and leave it as peter wants) and jackson also said that its gonna have better battles more CGIs with shelob and that we've seen a little of gollum as he's gonna have more time in the third one.

At the cricket way back in the year, like at England-New Zealand, one of the one day international cricket matches, here in Wellington and the Westpac Trust Stadium, when the two teams switched over they made 30,000 of us chant all this stuff, these war chants, and then they put them in the 2nd and 3rd movies :mrpimp:

of course its an open end, its based on a book that is part of a trilogy. It was originally one book until the publishing company told tolkien it would be best if it was seperated as such a long book would put readers off.

Anyway, The Two Towers is Awesome, and it is better than the first partly because, A) the story is beginning to unwravel more, B) more action, and C) the entire movie kicks arse.

Who is your favourite character?? mines Legolas, he is awesome, Aragorn is pretty kick arse too!!
