View Full Version : ARSENAL WERE PISH !!!
GOONERBHOY 27-12-1999, 02:49:AM Arsenal diserved to loose last night, they were awful. And to Coventrys credit they were fantastic, i think they were kind enough to only put 3 past seaman. Everything on target Seaman watched soar into the back of the net, i think he only made one save all game.
I also have to get stuck into Henry, ah well it`s not his fault i don`t think he`s ever played football before, surley Wenger must take the blame for Henrys input. Honestley arsenal would be better off fielding ten men. And to think he had Davor Suker sitting on the bench.
Coventry were brilliant and diserved the points.
I must Praise Adams, Ljungberg, dixon, Winterburn(he was facing mental) and Suker when he finally got a run they all put in 100%.
Can`t wait, Next week we get Bergkamp and Vieira back so it will be back to winning ways.
GINOLAAHH! 27-12-1999, 02:58:AM as a spurs supporter this hurts. it wasn't that bad coventry were flying. think back to wednesday at st. james park to put some happiness back into ur life.
p.s. spurs played well today
Hey gooner, where is Vieira from?
GOONERBHOY 27-12-1999, 03:11:AM Le big man is from France,
Ginola,
i actually wanted Spurs to win that game i hate newcastle, i like big Duncan though.
PolishPower 27-12-1999, 05:42:AM Gooner you should get off Henry's case when you had 2 players who were absolutely dreadful today: Petit(can the man come even close to putting the ball in the box on those corner crosses?)and Seaman(he looked like he was working off a massive Christmas hangover, you should have said they might as well been playing without a goalkeeper...)
GOONERBHOY 27-12-1999, 10:30:AM I said Seaman was crap and i was disgusted by Petit`s corners but he didn`t play too bad still no where near his best.
Like i said i was impressed by Ljungberg and also Adams and his two wing backs played their usual solid games!
Salamo 27-12-1999, 10:51:AM Henry is a great player, one of my favourites you guys might not understand but here is why - I used to support Monaco in the days when Wenger coached there (I still do support them) and Henry was a young lad scoring lots of goals and playing full attacking football. He never givs up. He has already started scoring for Arsenal and soon he will start scoring like MAD!!
Canoe 27-12-1999, 12:06:PM Seaman was poor, Hedman was awesome. Dixon went awol too many times when we needed him defending. Adams played well, Keown was quiet, Nutty was great, Ljungberg was good, Petit's corners sucked big time, as did the one or two Henry took. Grimandi played well but he ain't no Vieira. Overmars was giving up too easily on half chances. Kanu played well despite not getting too much assistance. Henry, well, sucked. His control was terrible, he falls over too easily, his judgement in making runs leaves a lot to be desired. Suker, despite being on the old side and not all that fast, was brilliant once he came on. That goal was great, and he showed a lot of commitment.
Question is where do we go from here ? Not to the title if we play like this. Henry must go to the bench, permanently. Rather play Suker if bergie is unavailable.
And I hope O' Leary isn't reading this, cause the way to beat Arsenal is concede free kicks and corners, cause we can't score from either.
Polish, you mean we had a goalkeeper out there ?? I thought seaman was directing air traffic with his flapping.
fifa99_expert 27-12-1999, 01:20:PM As a supporter of Arsenal, I must say that it is time that they get a new goooooooooood keeper, and MORE YOUNGER PLAYERS!!
can keep an old man squard running and retiring all together...
i feel Seaman was good (in his prime), but he is way past his prime, he should retire NOW, if he doesn't want to retire lookin' bad..
J.A.B.J. 27-12-1999, 02:13:PM Arsenal didn't play that good, but there were two outstanding goals...
Robbie Keane's superb flick across goal was a real gem, and Davor Šuker's goal was just brilliant...
GOONERBHOY 28-12-1999, 04:58:AM Fifa 99,
We have a good backup defence oh let me rephrase that, we have a good backup defender in Mathew Upson but Silvinho and Vivas are not good enough to take the place of our existing back four. We do need a new keeper but not Manninger were gonna have to look elsewhere.....Coventry for example.
Wenger should give up on henry he`s never gonna be a footballer.
Bergkamp should be back this week and Paddy comes back from suspension so it`l be back to winning ways!
