After an unsuccessful attempt to play online for the first time, I found out the reason the game keeps getting "out of sync" is because I've modified my game files. I like my game settings the way they are and there's no way I will go back to the default settings, just to play online.
I'm wondering if it's possible to do a second installation of FIFA 2003 and use it just for playing online. But I'm worried about damaging my registry. I attemted to do this before with a different game (F1 2001) and had nothing but problems.
Has anyone been able to do this? Would I have to rename FIFA 2003 to something like "FIFA 2003 Part 2"? When I tried doing two installations of F1 2001, there was still only one F1 2001 listed in Add/Remove Programs and the second installation wouldn't run, my regsitry was corrupted, and I had to do an XP "Repair" of the partition.
Is it possible to safely install this game twice and exactly how would I do this?

Thanks in advance,
ST

yes of course it is, all you need to do is to install the game onto a different target file, and that should work if not ur screwed.

I had similar problems with Fifa 2002. I had the ECP champions league patch as my main game and wanted the standard for online. I was told by Bolzermike of FifaFX that it is not possible.Apparently even if you change the target destination of the 2nd install your PC will still only pick up the 1st install file.
I may be wrong and it may be possible, but in my experience of this It didn't work.Good luck anyway hope you get it resolved. Happy Xmas ! ( unless your not a Christian, Happy Xmas anyway ! )

Well, what you can do is:

Copy your whole FIFA directory to a new directory. e.g.

If your FIFA is installed in C:\Games\FIFA 2003

Copy this folder so you also have FIFA in C:\Games\FIFA 2003Online

Then you have two copies of FIFA. To choose which one you play with, you simply have to rename the appropriate folder to C:\Games\FIFA 2003.
