On pro, these goals i make often, such as 1 time in 3 matches, so these aren't so beatiful at all. The goal of henry, that is a beauty (if on pro)

I won't show it with animation ('cause my AnimShop is ****ed) but I'll tell how it went in. Ok, it's match between Finland (its ME) and Mexico (CPU).
It's 1-1 at the moment Litmanen covers the ball and some Mexican player comes and trips Litmanen down with a sliding tackle. Free kick. Distance to goal is about 37 meters. Litmanen concentrates, starts running, shoots! Ball flies nicely towards the goal, OH MY GOD! UNBELIEVEABLE GOAL! It was great goal! Right to the right top corner of the goal! Goalie is too late and doesn't even bother to try to jump to catch the ball. He just tries to stop it with hand. Finland 2-1 Mexico. This was scored with PRO level.

Unfortunately, the result was sad...Mexico won 3-2. But because of that great goal it doesn't really matter.:rockman:

It's on world class difficulty!
That's why I am proud of it, and by the way:
The thierry henry goal is cool, but it depends which difficulty, because on amateur/semi pro you can score that sort of goals easily!

I have a Gamecube so i cant do all this fancy animation stuff, but I was playing as Roma on World Class vs Liverpool...

Totti crossed it in from the left, but the ball got volleyed out by Henchoz to about halfway between the edge of the box and the halfway line. Gerrard headered it slighty back toward his own goal, but straight to Batistuta, who flicked it over himself with his left foot, turns round and hits it first time on the volley, and it flew past Dudek into the topleft hand corner of the goal. wow.

This one was hard because I was a bit on the left side of the goal, not in the middle of it.., that would be a lot easier..

Pretty much like that. But it went little more to the corner (right corner, the shot was shot from right side too, like that from left to left corner, in fact your shot went in from middle, but I hope you get the idea) and little more distance, if I remember right. I have it saved as a replay. :rockman:

fifa 2003 is a great game..........the only reason its selling its because its official and nothing else....theres a limit to the goals that can be scored........the computer cheats too much......obviously pro evo and this is football all have aspects that fifa doesnt. i must have scored with that same volley 50 times already its really easy. scoring from a corner with a header is also almost impossible.

This also is a nice free kick, this is 1mb and smaller, it couldn't have gotten any closer to the angle.

hey gareth that free kick is well cool, it seems like you got the ball to rise up a little - is there something i dont know about that? Or does it just do it automatically? Or maybe its the camera angle...

I aimed at the top corner and I mean the slightest bit of the post and bar in the circle and struck it centre in on the green zone thingy fo set pieces.

As for closer shots with a wall blocking every possible opening of scoring, curling is needed. I tend to go for the top corner behind the wall away from the keeper, then press down twice and accross to the keeper once, add a bit of curl and loft and the closest I have ever come is the angle.

Cranky, that free kick is from so far out, was the marker on the goalor did you score it when it could only be on the ground? And who took it?

me and my brother had "Keeper Wars" today, its well funny - whenever one team has possession, they have to pass ot back to thier keeper, and try to score with it. and the other has to hold the keeper charge button. its so fun, it was 0-0 but he hit the bar from the halfway line with his keeper!

Me and my friend tried to score with our keepers too about a week ago... I lost the ball and my keeper was around the middle circle... my friend shot a lob from about 60 yards :eek: and the ball came down in front of my goal, bounced, hit the crossbar... and my defender got it! Phew! :clapwap: How unlucky can you be???

hehe, cool! Going waaaaay off topic here but i just noticed something: Say if you play Arsenal vs Man U and Man U win 2-0, if you play as Man U next match, and Barthez makes a save, Ally McCoist will say "Ah yes, he's still buzzing off his clean sheet for the last match". Its soo cool, there are others bits like that that relate to the previous game.

Anyway back to the thread topic...scored a sweeet goal with Giggs, on the right edge of the area, hit it first time and it went in off the far post :D

Like Giggsy, dribble pasy the Arsenal defence and put it high above Seamans head, or a David Beckham penalty for England v Argentina.

Whats everyone going on about you cant score with free headers, I chipped the ball from about 20 yards out in the centre of the park over the top of the defence after a scrappy clearance and Henry from the around the edge of the 6 yard box headered it over Van Der Sar who tried coming and claiming it.

scored a great goal today, i was ajax I think...anyway

some midfielder got it on the halfway line, and i lobbed it forward to one of my strikers,who had run free from the defender. (it was one of those lobs that dont go very high...) And he ran alongside the ball for a few strides. The keeper was rushing out of his net, and my striker controlledthe ball like Owen did in WC98 against Argentina, and when he did that, he lifted the ball over the sliding keeper and toe poked it first time into the back of the net...it looked so good,but i bet no-one could understand this!

And I was also volleying the ball across my back 4,and keeper (w/ Dortmund) , my keeper scuffed the volley so it went straight up, and he brought it down. Then he stamped on the ball so it bounced up (does that make sense?) then he did that control (where he flicks it up with his right foot, knocks it behind with his left and turns round) over an attackers foot! It was all regular ball control gone wrong and looking soooo good! would have posted it but i have a GC :rolleyes:

and i almost perfectly recreated Roberto Carlos' free kick against France in the Tournoi, that one where he hit it with the outside of his foot and it swerved loads...:rockman:

ive done that volley from the corner on ps2 so many times ive lost count

the free kick, i love that new system, so fun, and ive done something similiar

but i guess its eeasier since i play it on the ps2

some of the best goals (favorite at least) are when he picks up the ball in mid field, has great runs through the middle past two defenders and bangs it into the right hand corner

anoying thing is that the commentators go on about how tired he looks instead of what a great run it was, ho hum

i have ferdinand taking my free kicks as well, and the furthest he has scored from is 52 yards, but CRANKY wow that goal woudl have to be on match of the day every week lol


i dont play very often now, but when I do I am on world class (last season I played on professional, and came second in prem (lost to man utd by one point - cry) and won the cup

What programs do you use and is it a free-ware ?

I won't call you stupid :) , Here's how we do it:
You need:

-Game photographer (www.socceraccess.com)
-Animation shop (www.jasc.com)

Firts, start game photographer, then start the game...
You take pictures when you look at the replay and then you save them all with game photographer.
Then, with animation shop, make a NEW ANIMATION, you can set the screen size etc. select all the screens in the right order, now you have the animation with the moving pictures!

Quite simple, issn't it!? :rockman:

A friend of mine has scored a bicycle kick a few weeks ago, also when there was a corner: the corner was taken into the box and Mendieta from Barcalona scored the goal with a bicycle kick...:D

i scored on that replay its obvious it hits the bar then post and in

actually if u d/l ferdy's patch for the demo that deletes away the kickmeter u could score a lot of free kicks and bicycle kicks..

use freestyle for the diouf trick.. and the diving header is an auto.. u need to use the player run button though..

I've hit a few in from 30-40 yards out, so close up ones are no biggy for me, I find my glory in trying shots from far out and being amazed at how close some of them do get to going in.

This is the best and strangest goal I ever scored. I played a club championship game with Ajax against Bayer Leverkusen. Van der Vaart makes a cross from the left side and Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores WITH HIS SHOULDER!!!

i have gamecube so i cant show any of my goals
but i can assure you there are brilliant
i taped over 2 hours of brilliant goals i ve scored, manly with liverpool FC. so many free kicks of all sorts
one i can recall was with Beckham for england, bent over the wall and bounces of the grouind inside the goal, coming from the corner of the areea as well
my farthest out goal was with Steve Gerrard, about ten feet in from the center cirle
i wish so bad theat i could show you all because i know you would apreciate them.
by the way, all of the goals scored on my tape were scored on world class

I´ve scored from the middle of the pitch with Jan Koller. It was on WorldClassII if somebody remembers it. Those movies were downloaded too many times, so lycos.co.uk decided to blame me for file-storage and take down the pages. Damn I hate those #(")¤/#()#".. :kader:

I saw this post and that is SO easy I always make thos goal :rolleyes: but its fun to do! I hope that fifa 2004 will make it a little more difficult to make a lob (its so easy:D) and I hope that you can change the speed of your lob like in the shooting system

I agree with you Torrie, these goals are not hard to score at all! Three words: scripted - shot - assistance :)

That's why I'm working on the non assisted shooting system. Now, when I score a goal, I know I did it myself and the computer didn't help me one little bit!

well this is certainly one of the best goals i have ever scored.....juss because of the story behind it........being in manchester united i replaced beckham as the free kick taker for the season and juss cud not score even one in the whole season!! frustrated i thought i wud end the season without a dead ball goal......but it came and it came on the final day of the season!! in the final of the champions league.......and that was the only goal of the match!!!it ended 1-0 thanx to this free kick...........and mind you its on the pro level!!!:rockman:

I have a little bit different view from you.

I think the more computer assistance does not affect the gameplay. You can make great nice shots while making a great goalkeeper. There, you won't score alot but you can still view the nice shots.

I used to making the cross assistance very high, it's easy to cross very nicely and lots more headers (not mean there's more goals).

The game becomes much more realistic when more headers.

Here I wanna raise a question:

how do you edit the style play for individual players? I don't mean how often they cross/shoot/dribble. I mean the character move (e.g. Giggs' zigsag move...Zidane's turn...)

After all, I think I will have to delay the edit because I have registered a corresponding long distant course. I may have to spend more time study and job search so I can't gurantee anything for the edit. Sorry about that.

hmm a bit off subject but wtf.. i noticed that in your freekick goals the keeper actually seems to try to grab the ball... when i shoot freekicks they ALWAYS go straight in. even if the cursor is almost bang on the keeper. so as long as i can get it past the wall its a goal.
is this a patch or somethign?

Mine was tha same but with beckham kicking from tha lef side of tha field curvin it into the lef side of the goal goalie dove the rong way! it was nasty!:crazyboy: Atitle goal i dont kno how long it was but the number outside the circle was 49. I record all my title goals on vhs!
