ailton is good but i dont think he can keep up with the other brazilians. In my honost opinion I find Santa Cruz very good, maybe its the Santa part that makes me choose him?(H)

true. but he wasn't fully fit. and didn't get many proper balls. he got balls with someone in his back, he was playing with his back to the goal all the time. he only got one ball in his path, from Beckham, which nearly was a goal if it wasn't for Schwarzer.

As a Chelsea supporter I would say Gianfranco Zola. His form this season has been magnificant and there has been some real magic from him (if you remeber the goal against Norwich in the FA Cup).

Although i'm dutch and a PSV fan I must say that Thierry Henry was better than Ruud van Nistelrooij.

In my opinion it has to be Jose Cardozo from my team Toluca cuz he scored 51 goals from january to december.

No other player reached 50 this year, which is why i believe he is the best striker of the year.

Bastards, havent u seen the form Roy Makaay, a other Dutch striker is in. I'd say the top 5 for strikers @ the moment is:
1. Thierry Henry
2. Roy Makaay
3. Hernan Crespo
4. Ruud van Nistelrooy
5. Inzaghi/Kluivert

Best finisher is Owen, best striker is Raul.

No nationl looks towards one player in times of high stakes more than England does with Owen. It reaks hypocrisy since in between these instances the national press and every two bit wannabe pundint fan tries to get their rocks off by claiming Owen is overrated and one dimensional. It's a national past time.

He's all pace
He's one footed
He can't create opprotunities for himself

And the funny thing is, you still see these brought up today.

Van Nistelrooy is also a decent finisher, but he's Dutch, so that's -5 points for him.

I love the Dutch. I love Dutch football. I've studied Dutch football all my life. Obsessed over it's nuances. Analysed the subtle movements of the Oranje. I have stacks of books on the topic, an endless array of resources.

After all this education on Dutch football, I've come to one conclusion: They're crap.
