OMG, plastic grass hurts like as S.O.B if you slide on it. You will have to turn off the slide for players otherwise they will get severly burned.

My college team plays on artificial turf

Not the new stuff actually. FieldTurf is actually better than grass.

Better than grass? WTH do you mean by that? That's like saying a rugby-ball is "better" than a fotball.

Because the grass is perfect and stays that way, and in wet weather it doesn't get torn apart and there is no sitting water.

That's the glory of football, a bit of change. Removing that is like removing the referees and using computers, sensors and cameras to uphold the rules. It's perfect but booooring.

Still: gras, original and best.

I'm not going to argue any more, I know people like you like to keep it artificial and fake. I never want to see Ronaldo, Beckham, Henry, Davids or any other great star playing professionally on plastic grass.

I can make a Field like NBA, but I must speak with ReFa and Koggi first

Well... yeah, you'd better do that :brow:

I think that would look the best and if I'm not wrong the indoor world cup is played on "NBA-like" indoor floor.

well if its going to be a new patch, then why not make both types of floors?? one has the hardwood nba style floor, and the other has the astroturf/artifical grass stuff that you guys are talking about. that would look amazing to have both types of playing surfaces.

Also will shots be bouncing off the walls? or will they just go out of bounds?

is it 11v11 or wot?

imo should be 5v5

if u hit the adboard does it stay on ? or does it still go out?

you going to make it like that 8v8 one for fifa2002, with dreamteams of the best players or .. :)

That is the largest problem which we for the moment has, the ball goes through by the walls :( ,but Koggi works to, has someone an idea like one that repair can?

maybe I have:)

If you shoot low on goal, and it goes wide, and it comes against the adbords the ball cames back in the field, if we can set that invisseble wall in the field the ball cant go out:), but first we must find the file with the invissible wall, sorry for my poor english, if someone doesnt understand just say it, than I will try to explain better:S

hmmm

i see you made the adboards closer to the pitch. well maybe there is a way that you can stretch the adboards so that they are taller. like instead of 256x64 adboards, you can stretch it so that it is 256x256. I do not know if thats possible to do, but if there is a way to do it, then im pretty sure it will solve ur problems since the balls bounce off them already when they are out of bounds.

Then you have to edit one of those ini files. I think there might be a parameter that changes the way the ball bounces off objects (ie goal posts, goalie deflections) if there is that option to edit, you got to make it more bouncy so that it can be used with the stretched adboards.

like i said, im not sure if any of this works. give it a try and make sure u back up ur original files. u never know what you might discover

gooodluck

And I still haven't found the data of the back-bouncing :'(

BTW: Your English is OK. Try talking Dutch, English and German at almost the same time, that's a bigger problem... :(

I think FerdyKorp has a point, there's also another thing that makes the ball bounce: the post. But I doubt that that can be changed. But there must somewhere b some lines that tells the ball to bounce back. Have you asked Bolzer about this invisible wall. I think he knows or can find it.

I couldnt agree more, thats the first thing I thought of. Stretch the adboards. Secondly, I was thinking, just use different textures for the addboards so that they tile and appear something like a brick wall- if you go with this idea im more than happy to make the tile gfx for you.

Stretching or moving the addboard will not affect on
the ball-bouncing data.
I wish it was so easy.

in order to realize stadium 2003 indoor you must know the programming languages?

In fact, if we want to get the data for the ball-bouncing etc,
I think we must be able to read EA's files.
Some of the files are easy to access now (.big,.fsh,.o,.dnt etc)
but others ae still only editible with a hexedithor and that's very, very difficult.

The thing about ball bouncing was, if I don't remember wrong, quite simple to fix in FIFA 2002. There was some lines in the ini.big which set the height and distance from centre-field.

So you could make these very high and just move them to where ever you wanted.

Problem solved. :D

Yes, that was called addboard collision or something like that.
But now, in 2003 that line aren't in the ini.big anymore.
Worser: I can't find them in any file :'(
