I tend to think, celtic fc, that the Scottish League would also have trouble falling into a catagory called a "fairly descent league."

Why doesn't a Scottish comapny make the game and leave out the MLS an any other leagues you think don't deserve to be there and make it the best game ever with all the right features and great game play!!!!!! BECAUSE THEY CANT!!!! Your too stupid lazy or lack the money to develop a really great game. So the Americans have to do it.

EA is an American company, EA makes the game so they can put in whatever leagues they want. They can make it just MLS no other leagues and what would you say then. You would be stuck playing Sensible Soccer or Actua or some other crap. So stop your bitching until your country actually makes a game worth playing. Its ironic that a country that doesn't really have much soccer passion makes the best soccer game and all the so called soccer experts make crap like Viva Soccer.

I think the MLS should be in the game but isn't FIFA done by Canadians? who, like everyone else, think that the yanks are a bunch of arrogant pricks (as proved by greglato) who spend their time slagging down europeans and south americans even though that's where they originally come from?

Yes FIFA is actually made in Canada by a division of EA based in Canada. But the people who call all the shots and decide if there is even going to be a FIFA are in California at EA headquarters.

I don't think I'm being arrogant by pointing out that an American owned company makes the best soccer game. If someone else made a better game I'm sure we would all be playing it and posting messages at a forum dedicated to their game.

I hope some none American company does make a better game because there is lots of room for improvement. But the fact is that up till now no one has, so until they do I'm tired of people saying MLS should not be in the game.

You are correct, greglato. The address I have for EA Sports is in Redwood City, California. And last time I checked, that was in the USA. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Well ok, I'll say it again... The address I have for EA Sports is in Redwood City, California.

Those are the people that make the decisions.

I've been fortunate in that I've been able to scam a media pass from the New England Revolution. That allows me to see every home game of the New England Revolution from the press box, and I get to talk to players from around the league after the match.

I can tell you that in general, most of the foreign players who end up playing in MLS are pretty surprised at the level of play.

The consensus seems to be that while MLS isn't the most skilled league in the world, it's very athletic. For that reason, not every international player works out in this league, despite their resume.

Ariel Graziani told the media that MLS was tougher to play in than the Mexican League. Peter Nowak says that most of the teams in MLS could compete with some degree of success in the Bundesliga. Mo Johnston has told people that DC United would finish third in the Scottish league, behind only Rangers and Celtic. Ajax played the Revolution this summer, and their coach said that New England would finish in the middle of the Dutch League.

So, while MLS doesn't necessarily play attractive soccer, that doesn't mean they don't play competitive soccer. This theory goes a long way towards explaing some of the fairly surprising results MLS teams are starting to post.

I don't think you can put to much emphasis on what ageing soccer players are saying after all many of them are hoping that USA will be their new home so they will be kind. And don't listen to Mo Johnston, that man's lied to every team he's ever played at, belive me, i'm a Rangers and Everton fan.

After wandering back from the pub I often catch an MLS game on TV and in fairness it's alright footie, but I think it means more if your from that country, i mean Ric said earlier that the Scottish league would have trouble falling into the "fairly descent league" so it shows that if your not from that country you often don't know what your talking about.
