The match will kickoff in 20 minutes or so..
Should be an easy win for man utd against Steve Bruce's men..
If man utd win, it will be their ninth consecutive home win in all competitions.. GO UTD!!
My Prediction: Man Utd 3 Birmingham 0
Probable teams:
United: Barthez; G Neville, Brown, Silvestre (or Blanc), O'Shea; Beckham, Keane, Veron (or Scholes), Giggs; Solskjaer, Van Nistelrooy.
Birmingham: Vaesen; Kenna, M Johnson, Cunningham, Devlin; Savage, Cisse, D Johnson, Powell; Kirovski (or Morrison), Horsfield.
any prematch comments?

Aha. 1-0 up. Forlan rifled home after a cross from SIlvestre was headed for Forlan's feet by Beckham.

Good result for us, we were firing at all angles. One major point though. We didn't score enough. We should have boosted our goaldifference in this game. We could have won 5-0, 6-0 easily. Birmingham had two major chances, if they had gone in we'd owe it to oursleves. That has been the problem in the past two games as well. We're creating but not finishing good enough. Anyway, three points are ours, let's see what Arsenal and Liverpool have in mind for tomorrow. Let's join forces with the 'Pool for once!

I think I should get this forum's contributor of the year award for my defence of Veron throughout the last season and a half.
Veron once again proved to all those doubting Thomases that he is second only to Vieria in the Premiership.
What a performance!

I've always defended Veron , but not to the extent that you have. I don't see any purpose in arguing with glory hunters. And yes, I do support United, but you won't see me bragging over a not too important win.
The main reason I defend Veron isn't because he is from my country. It's because I've seen him play at his best and I know what he is capable of. I've always said, "this isn't the Veron I see play for Argentina" and I was right. Only now are Manchester learning what an in form Veron is like, and I know that they are now loving him. His passing accuracy is amazing, very rarely do you see a player make so many cross pitch passes that are always on target.
Just my opinion.;)

Well just as you have stuck by Veron, antithesis, I have always not stuck by Laurent Blanc.
Once again, when he didnt start United were able to keep a clean sheet and get the win.

You said it mate, when Veron thumps those passes and switches play it's as if the ball traps the player rather than vice versa.
And with Veron mainly on the left side that means Beckham will be getting those balls often which spells danger. Man Utd are going to be very good in the coming weeks. The real danger will come in the Champions League when those continental teams cannot react to the switch, then Beckhams direct style up the flank.
