View Full Version : Robinho to Bayern Munich?
KLINSMANN 29-12-2002, 06:01:PM I read that Robinho (the star of the Brazilian League FINAL) may be coming to Bayern Munich. The price will be in between 10 Million EURO to 25 Million EURO.
Barcelona is also interested in purchasing Robinho.
Robinho is only 18 years old and people say that he is the next Pele!
precise 29-12-2002, 08:53:PM I think if a big European club is going to buy him, they should sign him to a long term deal now or during the summer.
Then loan him back to other Brazilian clubs to help him to continue develope.
Then slowly bring him to Europe after a couple of years.
He is still very young, and his talents need to be nurtured slowly.
Nimreitz 30-12-2002, 10:04:AM Screw it! Bayern should spend the money tying up all the young German talent for the next generation instead of gambling on some kid. If he was the next Pele he would have been playing on a world stage 2 or 3 years ago. Same with Maradona. The true greats are world famous by 15 or 16.
ffours 30-12-2002, 10:39:AM i saw highlights of him.
they showed the semi and final here in australia, which i couldnt be bothered to watch.
anyways from what i read, he would love to join barcalona. And barca needs strikers.
perfect match.
It just says in brazillian marca that he needs to see what his family want.
Parra Power 30-12-2002, 01:28:PM He's still too young and inexperienced to play top flight europe. maybe if someone buys him, he should be loaned back to Brazil as precise suggested. and i really don't believe that anyone could be world famous at the age of 15 or 16 Nimreitz :|
BREAKING NEWS: Barca have bought Parraho!!!:o oh wait, that's not funny, is it......... :kader:
ffours 30-12-2002, 03:16:PM raul was world famous when he was 16 or 17.
how old was anelka?

I think nowadays that is only true if you are fortunate enough to play for a big European club.
akhenaton 30-12-2002, 11:40:PM I think reinaldo his better than robinho
But Bayern need some new striker german or brazilian they need a need one they could use cruz his a good young player.
(reinaldo plays 4 sao paulo)
Nimreitz 31-12-2002, 03:06:AM Ronaldo was 17 and went to WC 94, I'm pretty sure Pele was 16 when he starred in the World Cup, and same with Maradona. At the very least they were 15 and starring in top flight leagues.

I live in Dallas, TX and we have the Dallas Cup here which is one of the biggest youth tournaments in the world. Teams from all over the world come here and get to play, but only the best are invited. When Raul was about 15 or 16 he came here with his team and broke all of the records that you could think of. He scored an extreme number of goals and nobody can beat that number.
ffours 31-12-2002, 04:49:AM Was that international or club?
Club. Too bad I didn't get to see him play. I only heard about him playing.
Nimreitz 31-12-2002, 11:55:PM Yeah, a few guys from my high school team went to that competition last year and I guess did fairly well. And if anyone ever reads anything about Brian Martin in the next 3 years, do whatever you can to convince your local club not to buy him. He'll piss off every member of the team in a day. ****ing little 16 year old youth national team ****er.
LOL, that's not a bad tip. BTW, what's that teams name that did pretty good here and what age group?
juventusita 01-01-2003, 08:35:AM I've watched seen him on tv.
Incredible dribbler. Needs to stay in Brazil (which he's not leaving until after Santos makes a run in South American CL) for at least another year before going over.
precise 01-01-2003, 08:45:AM Do Bayern really need Robinho?
Pablo Thiam has stated that he will be leaving the 2001 European Cup winners for Wolfsburg.
Claudio Pizzaro is also unhappy with his lack of first team football at the club.
Miroslav Klose as everyone knows is also being linked with a move to Munich.
That would mean Robinho would be competing with potentially 4 other players(Elber,Cruz,Pizzaro,Klose) for the 2 strikers positions.
ffours 01-01-2003, 09:09:AM elber is on his way out....
and if this so called "next pele" is that good, i think heitzfield will give him every bit to shine.
Hans Baumann 02-01-2003, 02:46:AM guys i think Bayern will, and i hope they get Miraslav Klose - he is a great player but he is not being noticed because he plays for Kaiser and is very loyal to Kaiserslautern which could be a problem, and he got 5 goals in the 2002 WC for team Deutschland!!! he is about 24 i think
FC BAYERN MüNCHEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
how do i get those pictures on my screen?
yes i dont think they should be looking for Brazilians- they need young German talent, foregners are taking over the German Bundesliga!!!....well maybe not but you guys understand right
Bayern just sighned this defender from Wolfsberg- he is a young German i think which is good and i think they might be getting another rookie who is German

calve11 02-01-2003, 10:56:AM Robinho won't be put into the top flight so quickly. He is only 18 and Nimreitz, he most likely won't be the next Marradonna or Pele, there will never be another of them. When they played the game it was easier. Now look at all the World Class players, there is no best player in the World anymore! I think Robinho will end up having a successful career. He will eventually go to a giant team, I don't think he will right now though...

Um....it was not this past summer, but the one before, and it would have been either U-16 or U-17 FC Milwaukee. He played up quite a few years. Little ****.

He has been noticed, but Bayern have said that they will pay no more than £5 million(or something like that) for him. This is where the problem comes in.
With other big clubs also keeping an eye on the situation like Dortmund and Barcelona etc., I am sure the bidding will not stay at a figure that low, considering todays transfer market, and so I expect Bayern to most probably pull out of the bidding.

Robinho isn't a striker. He is a player like Saviola: he supports the upfront man. He is 1,70m tall and weights 60kg... these aren't very usual features of a striker...
