LaBrujita 30-12-2002, 05:22:AM Anyone?
Canada is 3-0.
We play Finland in a big game on New Year's Eve which will decide first in our group.
If all goes well - Russia vs. Canada final.:rockman:
Ilhan Mansiz 30-12-2002, 05:29:AM Canada and Finland is going to be great!
Canada needs to get there act together though, they played sloppy agianst germany and could have put away more chances then they did.

Yah, that was their worst game by far, but that was too be expected coming off such an important/emotional win against the Czechs.
I think they'll be really up for Finland...stupid Fins.:kader: :crazyboy:
Ilhan Mansiz 01-01-2003, 07:14:PM Great game against the Fins!
TooToo was slaming everyone around like a rag doll :D
The goalie situation was a little screwed up though,LeNeveu was just terrible, but i guess that just shows how good Fleury is,He comes on sick and makes some wicked clutch saves.
I feel sorry for TooToo though he is going to have to play for nashville :-puke:
Edit:forgot to say that the refs suck for giving Lupul a game misconduct what a bunch of dumb :f***: 's
LaBrujita 02-01-2003, 02:35:AM That as a great game.
I felt bad for Leneveu, but Fleury was/is fantastic.
That once period in the Second (i think) was spectacular, about 7 or 8 straight minutes of Canada just finishing EVERY check and just playing great "old time hockey".
Some questionable decisions by the ref/linesmans but... all around a great game.
Too bad about the Canucks.
SnYper 04-01-2003, 07:06:AM A good win for Canada tonight versus the United States. This was probably Canada's most undiscipline performance of the tournament. Stupid penalties at the wrong time cost us big time and gave the americans good chances. Not to mention, giving up a shorthanded goal, god damnit I hate shorthanded goals.
But in the end Canada outshot the US 42-15 and won the game 3-2. A decent result but not too impressive.
Now on Sunday the real test comes. I don't see us beating Russia, but who knows hopefully Team Canada plays a great game.
Ilhan Mansiz 04-01-2003, 10:37:AM That's right,You don't have a chance agianst us Russians :D
It's going to be a top class game though.
Canada 4-3 Russia (H) :p ;) :crazyboy:
xxxFLYERxxx 05-01-2003, 07:05:AM La Brujita, give me a scouting report on Woywitka.
Flyers drafted him two years ago, but i havent heard much about him since.

He was supposed to play for Philly this year, but they signed someone last minute and he got cut.
He's a defensive defencemen, so far in this tourney I haven't seen much offence from him. Nothing too special if you ask me.
Thank god the leafs got 5 players on Team Canada(H) (H) :mrpimp:
xxxFLYERxxx 05-01-2003, 08:06:AM What about Joni Pitkanen? Have you seen him play?

Joni Pitkanen
This guy is something special. Reminds me of a Chris Pronger/Rob Blake sort. Big, smooth, dangerous at both ends (that is for the other team). I wish this guy was on my team - bottom line.
Woywitka - Very good defender. Stay at home, for the most part, and good on the body, yet steady on the puck.
SnYper, you may recall him scoring the winning goal vs the USA:crazyboy:

Canada 4-3 Russia
What was that? I couldn't hear you who won baby who won!? :p
It was a great game minus are damn diving,We didn't play as clean as i would have like, but we still won.
Russia owns Canada muhahaha ;)
LaBrujita 06-01-2003, 06:31:AM Great game.
I wouldn't say "owns", because if you advance all the player 5-10 years, we know who won that battle;)(not trying to start and argument, just hanging on to the only glory we have right now :D ).
SnYper 06-01-2003, 07:11:AM My prediction was right, Canada couldn't beat the Russians. Obviously the Russians were the better team and they got a deserved win.
Now I believe if Ottawa weren't a bunch of cocksucking mother****ers, and would've let Jason Spezza play. Canada would have won this game, and the tournament. He could've been the difference in this game. Upshall doesn't cut it as a captain, i'm sorry to say that, but it's true. He has some talent, but nothing special.
I'd also give the player of the tournament to Marc-Andre Fleury. He was phenomenal all tournament, and kept Canada in all of the games. He's worthy of the tournament MVP.
EDIT: Marc-Andre Fleury won the MVP. Finally a good call.
And now that I see the highlights again i'm reminded, WTF was with all the diving. I've seen more diving in this game than in the olympics diving events. It's sickening.
Ilhan Mansiz 06-01-2003, 02:52:PM Yeah i know what you mean it was very bad game the first two periods, but in the third period things cleaned up and we won it.
No one deserved the MVP more than Fleury he was always on top of his game every match.
