Seems more and more the players that are hyped, and those are the most is expected from, do not perform as expected (IE, Ronaldo, Figo, Rivaldo, etc). IT also seems that players that we know are GOOD but we dont expect them to kick total butt are performing better and better (crespo, shevchenko, makaay, etc). Maybe players are buckling under pressure?

The 'hyped' players are often man-marked and the opposition work out tactics to stop them, leaving the less hyped players the space and time to work their own magic.

And you can't really say that Shevchenko isn't a 'hyped' player. He is, IMO, one of the best strikers in the world.
