ok , have a GOOD working copy of WE6( patched with that ADR patch), that i have played perfectly on a friends neo-chipped ps2.

i am using the knife trick to boot up this patched WE6, but i am getting it in black and white... why is this??

do i have to apply a NTSC to PAL patch to the CD?

other NTSC games ( i have guilty gear x)also come out b&w.

i dont think its my tv, as i had no problems with my ps1 which was chipped, and its not an old tv.

SO, can some1 help me out, and maybe point me in the right direction, i dont want to waste any more CDRs than i have to.

pleeeeeeease reply

It sounds like you need the NTSC to PAL patch.

I used one from www.adrenalin-uk.com but it looks like that site is down at the moment.

Also, using that patch does slow the gamespeed down by about 15-20% (makes it much more realistic in my opinion, but others have said they find it too slow).

I still have the patch on my hd,so if you can't find the patch, send my a PM with your email address and I can send you a copy.

Does that patch make it fullscreen?

I tried a universal one on WE6FE, but it looks completely squashed as you'd expect.
PAL also makes it too slow as it is not optimised.

I like the NTSC picture now anyway.

cheers for the replies..

i found a nstc to pal patch on megagames.com that fixed the colour issue, but as alex said, the game gets squashed up to the top side of the screen, and there is a big black line along the bottom.

the speed thing is not an issue, i noticed in the first few games i played, but now that im well used to it, i find it really good actually.

anyway, is there anyway to deal with the squashing up thing?
what is that other patch like arthur?

I'm afraid the patch I had used does the same thing - black, horizontal borders and a slightly squished picture. To be honest, once I started playing the game, I soon forgot all about it.

Try looking for an RGB button or setting on your tv or remote control. This turns it on or off.

If I turn it off the picture goes black and white, if I press it it becomes colour.
