They do, if they continue good form, and every team on top of them **** up.

They are higher than liverpool at the moment so that shows something :mrpimp:

I would say they have more of a outside chance of finishing in those positions.

With the scrap going on at the top I think Southampton will finish no higher than 5th, but that is only my prediction.

If James Beattie keeps scoring the goals and Antti Niemi keeps the goals out at the other end, Southampton should have a good end to the season.(And I figured Gordon Strachan to be only good at relegation battles!)

I think that SOTON appear to be on a high.
and that their form might drop. Because if Beattie stops playing well (not only scoring he'salso making goals) then they'll have a problem.
But Isure hope they do well !!
Gordon Strachan has done a great job

We will see what Southampton are made of when they go through a bad patch. If they can bounce back and go another ten games unbeaten after a bad patch, then we can say that they'll finish top 4.

I think they have a chance but I don't think they will get into the Champions League place. Although they have a half-decent squad it is by no means top class. The players, however, does work as a team and that could be the key.

They are also heavily reliant on the confident James Beattie attacking-wise and if he has an injury/loss of form then they could struggle in front of goal.
