Sorry , this will make no sense to a lot of you , but i had to get it out.........

We all no about injuries. They told Van Nistelrooy he would never play again after his knee injury. There was much fuss about this and he is often praised becuase he came back the same player. I am not bad mouthing Ruud , he is not the only example of this but not a lot has been said about this players recovery.

Matt Jansen plays for Blackburn Rovers. He finished top scorer last season with 14 goals. After narrowly missing out on a place in England's World Cup Squad, Matt took a holiday in Rome. While there he suffered a motorcycle accident and went into a coma. His survival was a major doubt but a week later , he woke and was greeted with the news that he would never walk again.

He refused to accept this , and after 6 months recovery he was able to get back to playing for Blackburn

Today he scored 2 goals for Blackburn against Aston Villa in the A Cup 3rd Round.

Well done to Matt Jansen. I think quite a lot has been said about Matt Jansen but because he hasn't really scored a single goal until the game against Aston Villa, he doesn't get as much exposure as Ruud van Nistelrooy, he finished top goalscorer in all competitions last year in England.
